After the successful team-ups of Batman and Deadpool, Superman and Spider-Man are joining forces once more. This is part of a continuing series of crossovers between DC Comics and Marvel, which is planned to run through 2026.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man, the publishers are bringing back beloved classic stories and also releasing brand new, short stories featuring both iconic characters.

Classic Treasury Editions Return
The exciting team-up event begins on January 7, 2026, with DC publishing Treasury Edition 50th Anniversary of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man #1. This special edition recreates the iconic 1976 comic book that originally paired DC’s Superman with Marvel’s Spider-Man.
On February 4, 2026, DC will release DC and Marvel Present: Superman and Spider-Man Treasury Edition #1, which is a new printing of Marvel Treasury Edition #28. These large-format comics (10 1/8” x 13 5/16”) will allow today’s readers to enjoy these classic team-ups as they were originally published.

New Superman and Spider-Man Stories in 2026
The reprints set the stage for two new comics.
In March 2026, DC Comics will release Superman/Spider-Man #1, and then in April 2026, Marvel will publish Spider-Man/Superman #1.
These individual issues will each tell brand new stories, reuniting the characters after many years. We’ll be sharing more about the writers and artists, and what these stories are about, in the months ahead.
One of comics’ most famous team-ups
This event brings together two of the most iconic heroes in comic book history, Superman and Spider-Man, and celebrates their lasting impact. As both DC Comics and Marvel aim to reach more readers, this team-up pays tribute to classic stories and creates exciting new adventures for modern fans.
This development also shows that events involving multiple companies-which were previously uncommon-are making a comeback, as publishers try to generate enthusiasm with both loyal fans and potential new readers.
What’s Next
We’ll be sharing more information about Superman/Spider-Man #1 and Spider-Man/Superman #1 soon, including details on the different variant covers and who is working on the books.
These new releases celebrate 50 years since the very first team-up between DC and Marvel, and also offer fans an exciting preview of what’s coming in 2026.
