Growing up in the ‘90s, a few shows felt like they were constantly on television. I don’t think I ever went a day without catching an episode of Saved By the Bell or Friends while changing channels. The same goes for Everybody Loves Raymond. Though it wasn’t really made for me and I didn’t intentionally watch it, I always found it amusing. Actually watching it now, as an adult, has shown me it’s a truly fantastic show. And now, to honor the show’s history, the cast of Everybody Loves Raymond is reuniting for a 30th anniversary special, as announced by CBS.
Actually, that’s not quite right. As a longtime fan, I remember Everybody Loves Raymond first hitting the air in September 1996, so it just celebrated its 29th anniversary! It would’ve been cool if the network had marked 20 years since the show wrapped up – that was back in May 2005. I’m really excited about the 90-minute Everybody Loves Raymond reunion special on November 24th, and it’s great that star Ray Romano and the show’s creator, Phil Rosenthal, are hosting. Can’t wait to see it!
The event will feature cast members like Brad Garrett, Patricia Heaton, Monica Horan, Madylin Sweeten, and Sullivan Sweeten. They’ll be discussing their experiences making the show and will also share some never-before-seen bloopers. There will also be a special tribute to honor the cast members who are no longer with us. It promises to be a wonderfully nostalgic event. Don’t miss it!
