It features Miranda Cosgrove and Pierson Fodé in the leading roles, with Madison Pettis, Frances Fisher, and Yvonne Orji appearing in supporting roles. Distributed by Netflix, the film has a runtime of 107 minutes and was produced by MPCA and Brad Krevoy Productions.

4. ’28 Years Later’ (2025)

A new wave of the Rage virus is spreading throughout Britain, forcing those who have survived to battle for their lives once more as society threatens to fall apart. I just finished watching ‘San Andreas,’ and it was intense! It’s directed by Brad Peyton and the script was written by Carlton Cuse, based on a story from Andre Fabrizio and Jeremy Passmore. The movie stars Dwayne Johnson, Carla Gugino, Alexandra Daddario, Paul Giamatti, and Ioan Gruffudd – a really great cast. It was produced by New Line Cinema and distributed by Warner Bros, and I was surprised to learn it made around $474-475 million worldwide! Definitely a blockbuster.

2. ‘Ruth & Boaz’ (2025)

An up-and-coming singer puts her career on hold, leaving the vibrant Atlanta music world to help a grieving widow in a quiet Tennessee town. As they build a close, mother-daughter relationship, the singer unexpectedly falls in love with the owner of a local vineyard. This story is a modern take on a classic biblical tale, focusing on themes of loss, devotion, and finding love again. It’s a story about grief, loyalty and second chances, reimagined for today.

‘Ruth & Boaz,’ written by Cory Tynan and Michael Elliot and directed by Alanna Brown, features Serayah as Ruth, Tyler Lepley as Boaz, and Phylicia Rashad as Naomi. The film also includes appearances by Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Jermaine Dupri, and is produced by Tyler Perry and DeVon Franklin. It first became available on Netflix on September 26, 2025.
