‘Ángela’ (2024)

This gripping drama centers on a woman whose seemingly perfect life starts to unravel when she uncovers disturbing secrets about her husband. She’s forced to make difficult choices that challenge her values, her instincts for survival, and how far she’s willing to go. The story unfolds with intense psychological suspense, and nothing is quite as it seems – not even the people she trusts or the timeline of events.

This series is a character-focused mystery that follows a woman trying to get her life back on track as hidden truths come to light. It’s ideal for a weekend binge-watch, building tension throughout and leading to a dramatic climax.

‘House of Guinness’ (2025)

‘House of Guinness’ takes place in Dublin in 1868, starting with the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness. The series follows his four children as they deal with their inheritance, personal goals, and what’s next for the Guinness brewery. Starring Anthony Boyle, Louis Partridge, and Emily Fairn, the story explores both family drama and the power struggles within the city.

Created by Steven Knight and inspired by an idea from executive producer Ivana Lowell (a member of the Guinness family), the series combines the family’s real history with the major social and political events of the time. It shows how the choices made by this influential family affected not only their business and personal lives, but also the wider world around them.

‘Wayward’ (2025)

This suspenseful thriller centers on a police officer in a quiet town who becomes wary of a school for troubled teenagers and its captivating headmaster. The more he investigates, the more he uncovers a complex system of control and deceit, revealed through interviews, records, and testimonies. The film stars Mae Martin, alongside Toni Collette and Sarah Gadon.

Mae Martin’s show blends a fast-paced investigation with a deeper, unfolding story about power and control. Each episode reveals more about the school and the people running it, strengthening the case against them while also raising the stakes for the detective involved.

‘Alice in Borderland’ (2020– )

Based on the popular manga, this series takes place in an abandoned version of Tokyo where people must compete in deadly games-each represented by a playing card-to stay alive. Kento Yamazaki plays the main character, Arisu, and Tao Tsuchiya stars as Usagi. The cast also includes Nijirō Murakami, Aya Asahina, Dori Sakurada, and Ayaka Miyoshi.

The series, directed by Shinsuke Sato and scripted by Yoshiki Watabe, Yasuko Kuramitsu, and Sato himself, was produced by Robot Communications. Each character’s suit represents a unique obstacle, and as the challenges become harder, the story builds to a thrilling and inventive climax.

‘Crime Scene Zero’ (2025)

‘Crime Scene Zero’ is a competition where players become both detectives and suspects, working together to solve mysteries. They meet people who show them how things work, explain what they do, and teach new words related to different jobs in a playful and interactive way.

Blippi and Meekah, played by Clayton Grimm and Cashaé Monya respectively, star in this Moonbug Entertainment series. Each episode playfully explores different jobs and encourages curiosity, showing kids how people work together safely and responsibly.

‘Black Rabbit’ (2025)

I’m really hooked on this new limited series! It centers around Jake and Vince, two brothers running a restaurant in New York City, but their past is catching up to them. Old debts and some shady connections are threatening to disrupt their lives and the vibrant nightlife scene they’re a part of. Jude Law is amazing as Jake, and Jason Bateman plays his brother Vince. The supporting cast is fantastic too – Odessa Young, Cleopatra Coleman, Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, Troy Kotsur, Abbey Lee, and Dagmara Dominczyk all bring something special to the show.

Created by Zach Baylin and Kate Susman, the series features Jason Bateman as an executive producer and director of the first few episodes. Later episodes are directed by Laura Linney, Ben Semanoff, and Justin Kurzel. The story takes place in and around a high-end Manhattan restaurant and lounge, where danger is quickly mounting.

‘Haunted Hotel’ (2025)

‘Haunted Hotel’ is a funny and spooky animated show for adults. It follows a single mom who manages a genuinely haunted hotel, and her complicated relationship with her brother – who happens to be a ghost. The show stars Will Forte, Eliza Coupe, Skyler Gisondo, Natalie Palamides, and Jimmi Simpson.

This animated series, created by Matt Roller for Netflix and Titmouse, features Matt Roller, Dan Harmon, Chris McKenna, Steve Levy, Erica Hayes (as supervising director), Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina as executive producers. The show centers around the funny, supernatural happenings at work, driven by the individual stories and unique rules of the resident ghosts.
