Starting today, you can pre-order the ROG Xbox Ally and the more powerful ROG Xbox Ally X in certain areas. They’ll be available through the Microsoft Store, the ASUS online store, and other retailers, with devices shipping on October 16th.
Pricing varies by region, but US customers can expect to pay the following:
- ROG Xbox Ally X: Available for USD $999.99 (ERP)
- ROG Xbox Ally: Available for USD $599.99 (ERP)
Last November, Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, hinted at the high price of the upcoming PS5 Pro in an interview with Bloomberg. He stated that selling consoles for $1,000 wouldn’t help expand the gaming market.
Xbox has announced that pre-orders are now open for a new handheld device. They say it’s designed to let players enjoy games from Xbox, Battle.net, and other PC game stores on the go.
Handheld consoles let you enjoy your Xbox Game Pass library anywhere, and they’re designed with comfortable grips similar to the standard Xbox controller. The ROG Xbox Ally X delivers top-tier performance, just like other Xbox consoles, but it’s also the most expensive option.
Check Xbox Wire for more details on how to pre-order.
