Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for *The Bride*, a fresh and daring take on the classic Frankenstein story, directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal.
Starring Jessie Buckley as the Bride and Christian Bale as Frankenstein, the new film will be released in theaters and IMAX on March 6, 2026.
A New Take on a Classic Tale
In 1930s Chicago, the story of The Bride centers on a solitary Frankenstein (Christian Bale) who asks the innovative scientist Dr. Euphronious (Annette Bening) to assist him in building a companion.
They bring a young woman back to life, creating Buckley’s Bride. This hopeful act quickly turns disastrous, leading to violence, supernatural control, and the rise of a new and disruptive cultural trend – all revolving around the Bride herself.
The trailer teases the film’s tagline: “There’s a monster inside us all.”
