Air Jordan 1 Low Og “Xuan Wu” Is a Tribute To Chinese Mythology

The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Xuan Wu” will be releasing in Fall 2025. This shoe features a black and metallic gold color scheme and will be available for $250 USD directly from Nike. Its product code (SKU) is IO3147-001.

Jordan Brand is celebrating the upcoming Year of the Horse in 2026 with a new sneaker: the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Xuan Wu,” inspired by Chinese mythology.

Xuan Wu, named after a famous figure in Chinese legend who guarded the North, is often depicted as a creature combining a snake and a tortoise – representing strength, safety, and change. Building on the popular high-top design released in January, this new low-top shoe once again mixes traditional Chinese ideas with modern fashion.

This sneaker boasts a sleek black leather design with a unique heel pattern inspired by snakeskin and tortoise shells, giving it a fantastical look. Like its high-top predecessor, it has a see-through sole with tortoise shell details visible within the material. Priced at $250, the shoe justifies the cost with premium details like comfortable ankle padding, leather laces, and a leather tongue, establishing it as a high-end sportswear option.

I’m super hyped because this limited-edition sneaker is dropping in China later this year through Nike’s website and a few stores. I’ve been checking out the official photos, and it’s a really cool design that blends different cultures – definitely a must-cop!
