Leonardo DiCaprio, Teyana Taylor and Regina Hall Star in Action-Packed ‘One Battle After Another’

Leonardo DiCaprio, the acclaimed actor known for his roles in award-winning films, is starring in a new action movie directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. Titled *One Battle After Another*, this fast-paced thriller arrives in theaters on September 26th. DiCaprio plays Bob Ferguson, a laid-back father living an unconventional life with his daughter, Willa (played by Chase Infiniti). When a dangerous enemy from his past, Steven Lockjaw (Sean Penn), reappears and Willa is kidnapped, Bob must face his demons to rescue her.

Teyana Taylor, Regina Hall, and Alana Haim of the band HAIM – all of whom were in Anderson’s 2021 film *Licorice Pizza* – join Leonardo DiCaprio in the search for his character’s daughter.

The trailer, released on March 27th, features Leonardo DiCaprio in a fast-paced search for Willa, exploring themes of identity and family. While director Paul Thomas Anderson’s previous films like *Inherent Vice*, *The Master*, *There Will Be Blood*, and *Boogie Nights* were known for their deliberate, slower pace, *One Battle After Another* represents a shift towards a more commercial and action-packed style. Anderson based the film on short stories he wrote, drawing inspiration from his novel *Vineland*, allowing him to reimagine the story in his own way. Fans of the book can expect a fresh take with a mix of action, comedy, and a focus on the touching relationship between a father and daughter.

Teyana Taylor is featured in several clips promoting the film, playfully highlighting her incredible energy on set. In one, she jokes about her fast running, saying, “That wasn’t a stunt double! If they need someone for another *Mission Impossible* movie, they should give me a call.”

The new Warner Bros. film, from producers Adam Somner, Sara Murphy, and Anderson, and executive producer Will Weiske, will be released in theaters nationwide on September 26th, and internationally starting September 24th. It will be available in stunning formats including VistaVision, 70mm film, and IMAX. Early reviews are overwhelmingly positive, with a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
