Minakata Dynamics, a studio based in Japan, has announced that their city-building game, *Whiskerwood*, which features a cat and mouse theme, will launch into Early Access on PC on November 6, 2025. It will also be available on PC Game Pass from day one.
You can now try out a free demo of the new game where you experience life under the rule of demanding cat overlords! The unique twist is that instead of building a successful colony for your people, you have to keep your feline bosses happy by paying them regular tribute. Otherwise, well… let’s just say there are consequences, likely involving being eaten.
Whiskerwood blends the satisfying city-building of the Anno games with the complex automation of Factorio. You’ll need to build smart production lines to fulfill demands – and trust us, you *really* need to keep those demands met, because these cats won’t be ignored!
But what if there was an opportunity to cast off your shackles and achieve rodent freedom?
You can check out the free Whiskerwood demo on Steam.
