ABC has cancelled Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show, and it’s likely to be off the air for an extended period. This decision followed an announcement from Nexstar Media, a major television station group, that they would stop broadcasting the show.

On September 10th, Kirk, a prominent conservative voice, was fatally shot while participating in a debate at Utah Valley University. Police arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting three days afterward.
During his monologue on Monday night, Kimmel condemned the response from conservatives to the recent tragedy. He specifically pointed out that, “The MAGA group reached a new low over the weekend by attempting to distance themselves from the person who attacked Charlie Kirk.”
Jimmy Kimmel joked about how Donald Trump reacted to the news of Kirk Douglas’s death, pointing out that Trump quickly changed the subject to a new ballroom being built at the White House.
