Elon Musk has recently spoken out about the issue of political violence within online gaming and streaming spaces.
After recently criticizing Microsoft regarding comments made about Charlie Kirk, Elon Musk is now focusing his attention on Jeff Bezos and Twitch, questioning how the platform handles content from left-leaning streamer Hasan Piker.
Musk’s Post
Following a viral video showcasing several instances of strong language used by Hasan Piker during his online broadcasts, Elon Musk responded on X. The video, shared by content creator Tectone, featured examples of Piker’s forceful statements.
- “You need to be show your opponents guts on there, you need to be gutting them… shanking these m-fers.”
- “Slice them up, slice them and f-ing dice them.”
- “Let the streets soak in their red capitalist bloods, dude.”
- “Kill Rick Scott.”
- “Someone has to do it.” (referencing Donald Trump)
The video ended with calls for Twitch to permanently ban Piker from the platform.
Musk reposted the thread, tagging Bezos directly: “What’s up here @JeffBezos?”

Pressure on Twitch
Elon Musk recently spoke out as criticism mounts against Twitch, the Amazon-owned streaming platform. Many users, including other streamers, claim Twitch doesn’t consistently enforce its own rules and has repeatedly allowed popular streamer Hasan Piker to get away with encouraging violence, despite numerous complaints.
A popular post from X user Savvy called for significant changes at Twitch. Savvy stated that a simple, unpublicized ban wouldn’t be sufficient and demanded that DJ Clancy, a Twitch figure, resign. They also asked Twitch to publicly admit to inconsistent rule enforcement and to overhaul its moderation team, along with conducting a thorough, independent investigation of internal communications.

Who is Hasan Piker?
Hasan Piker, known online as HasanAbi, is a left-wing Twitch streamer and political commentator.
He was originally planned to debate Charlie Kirk at Dartmouth College on September 25th, focusing on topics important to young people.
Though expressing shock and sadness, Piker connected Kirk’s death to larger issues in America, such as gun laws, inequality, and a culture of violence. He used the tragedy, which affected someone he knew personally, to criticize broader problems within U.S. society.
