On Wednesday, the second part of season two has concluded, and we’re still reeling from the exhilarating journey we took at Nevermore. This season broadened the universe in numerous ways, unveiling new details about cherished characters and mind-blowing revelations that alter everything for our little storm cloud. Here are some of the most significant disclosures in Wednesday‘s second season.
In this version, I aimed to make it more conversational and less formal while still maintaining clarity and readability.
Principal Dort Founded Morning Song Cult
It turned out that Mr. Dort wasn’t a trustworthy individual as we had suspected. He eventually utilized Bianca’s siren powers to manipulate Morticia into assisting with the school’s gala. However, things took a sinister turn when it was disclosed that Mr. Dort is actually the founder of the Morning Song cult in the series ‘Wednesday’.
Bianca and her mother didn’t know him as he deliberately worked from behind the curtain and let a past performer serve as the public face. However, luckily, Wednesday and their companions joined forces to foil his wicked intentions and prevent him from deceiving Grandmama out of her wealth.
Slurp Is Isaac Night, Gomez’s Former Best Friend and Tyler’s Uncle
It’s revealed that the tale of the brilliant yet eccentric boy living in the clock tower is accurate. In the first part, Pugsley reanimates a corpse, who subsequently becomes his closest friend due to his lack of companionship. He nicknames this carnivorous companion Slurp, but things spiral out of control when Slurp begins murdering people. As he eats more brains, Slurp displays increasingly human-like qualities and we discover that he is Isaac Night, the brother of Tyler’s mother and a mad genius. (Paraphrased with a focus on clarity and readability)
To suppress his dark side, often associated with Hyde, he deliberately attempts to murder his roommate and companion, Gomez. Unfortunately for him, during this incident, Gomez loses his electrical powers. However, luckily for both of them, Morticia intervenes just in time, resulting in the death of Isaac (details on that will be discussed later).
Patient #1938 Is Tyler’s Mom
The elusive individual who managed to flee was none other than Francoise, the mother of Tyler, who had once been a patient at LOIS. As previously discussed, she yearned to be free of her Hyde trait and lead an ordinary existence. However, the experiment went awry, resulting in Isaac’s demise. Regrettably, throughout Tyler’s childhood, Francoise was confined as a test subject. Part 2 offers her an opportunity to reconnect with her family and try to “rescue” Tyler, but it culminates in a fierce battle between mother and son involving their Hyde forms. Tragically, she meets her end by falling, while Tyler manages to escape once more, finding a strange sense of peace with Capri.
Enid Is an Alpha Werewolf
Concerning Capri, it’s clear she carries a certain enigma around her. We recognized her as a child prodigy, similar to Enid, and also a werewolf. However, part 2 unveils that she had been in love with a Hyde, whose master attempted to order him to take her life, among other unsettling events. Capri confides in Enid that she is an Alpha werewolf because her first transformation occurred under a blood moon.
If Enid transforms into a wolf during another full moon, there’s a chance she might be trapped in that form permanently. Under these circumstances, Enid shapeshifts as a means of safeguarding Wednesday’s life, and she remains in her wolf form beyond the next day. Afterward, Enid heads North, and it is Wednesday who subsequently searches for her, concluding the season.
Capri Has a Hyde Community
In a private conversation, Capri shares with Tyler that her father was a Hyde and there exists a group of skilled Hydes who he could become part of. It’s unclear if Capri is the one who set up this community, but it appears she might have ulterior motives for its creation. We’ll need to wait until season three to find out more about her intentions.
Thing Is Actually Issac Night’s Hand… and Morticia Cut Him Off
Up until now, there hasn’t been a version of the Addams Family that delves deeply into Thing’s background. In the final episode of Wednesday, it’s revealed that Thing was actually Isaac Night’s hand. This hand belonged to Morticia, who severed it to save Gomez’s life during their time at Nevermore Academy. The dismembered appendage then transformed into a sentient being and, ultimately, Thing defeats Isaac and decides to remain Wednesday’s charming companion.
Grandmama Has Ophelia Locked in a Basement
In an unexpected twist, even as it seemed like Wednesdays family might have run out of secrets, the final episode dropped the biggest bomb yet – a shocking revelation! As it turns out, Morticia’s long-lost sister Ophelia, who had supposedly gone insane due to her psychic abilities years ago, is none other than the mysterious figure locked away in Grandmama Addams basement. The chilling message she writes foretells Wednesday’s demise, leaving us wondering if Morticia is aware of Ophelias true identity and why Grandmama chooses to keep her confined. With this intriguing development, the stage is set for an exciting new season!
