Channing Tatum Calls His Divorce From Jenna Dewan ‘Painful’, Discusses Co-Parenting Their Daughter: ‘I Wish I Could Just…’

Tatum and Dewan met on the set of their dance movie “Step-Up” and were married for 10 years before splitting up. During an interview with Variety while promoting his forthcoming film, Roofman, the actor expressed that parting ways with his former spouse was a difficult experience for him.

During an interview with a media outlet, the star who plays Deadpool and Wolverine shared, “I can confidently say I grasp its meaning.” He further commented, “Jenna and I are on better terms now, but our separation was quite challenging, given our young age. We struggled to maintain the relationship for about a year and a half, but we both realized it wasn’t sustainable… Let’s just leave the details aside.

Besides what he previously mentioned, the individual additionally shared that he finds it extremely challenging to be apart from his daughter for long periods. He put it this way: “It’s something from the past, but still, it’s hard not to have my daughter with me half the time. I wish I could always have her by my side.

Meanwhile, Tatum and Dewan began dating in 2006 and went on to get engaged two years later. 

Regarding his split, the performer stated that he underwent various stages.
