I’m thrilled to share that as a dance enthusiast, I can’t help but express my excitement for Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars! This popular reality dance competition is all set to bring the heat back onto the dance floor starting September 16. The upcoming season promises a fascinating mix of celebrities from various realms of pop culture, sports, and television. I can hardly wait to see these big names showcase their moves on the dance floor!
This upcoming season is shaping up to be thrilling, featuring well-known personalities such as social media sensation Alix Earle and Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles. Each of these stars will team up with a skilled professional dancer, vying for the coveted Mirror Ball trophy in a fierce competition.
As a passionate cinephile, I couldn’t hide my excitement when the full cast, accompanied by their dance partners, was unveiled live on Good Morning America on the 3rd of September. It was an exhilarating glimpse into the stars preparing for the upcoming season, offering fans like me a tantalizing sneak peek at the dancefloor!
1. Robert Irwin
Robert Irwin, the son of Steve Irwin and brother of Bindi Irwin, has signed up for “Dancing with the Stars.” He’s recognized for his efforts in wildlife conservation and for co-hosting the show “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!” alongside other notable personalities.
As an ardent admirer of the Dancing with the Stars stage, I found myself in a surprising twist of fate – a self-proclaimed alligator wrangler named Robert is stepping into my beloved dance competition arena! You see, unlike most contestants who gracefully glide across the floor, Robert’s background lies not in ballet or tap, but in working with wild animals.
However, his passion for the show has been ignited ever since he watched his sister Bindi shine on season 21 back in 2016. Now, as the excitement bubbles within him, he can barely contain his enthusiasm, expressing his disbelief that this dream is about to turn into a reality. And it doesn’t stop there – Robert will be dancing alongside the incredibly talented Witney Carson, making for an unforgettable partnership on the dance floor!
2. Andy Richter

Andy Richter, often recognized as Conan O’Brien’s sidekick, is set to compete. Besides being a comedian and actor, Richter has a diverse comedy career. In an interview with Good Morning America, he confessed his fear of dancing, hinting at limited formal experience. For the upcoming season, he will be teamed up with professional dancer Emma Slater.
3. Lauren Jauregui

Lauren Jauregui, who recently rejoined Fifth Harmony and was the last member to join the group, revealed on Good Morning America that she only found out about this two days ago. Although she is primarily recognized as a vocalist, Lauren has past experience with choreography within her band. For the competition, Lauren will team up with professional dancer Brandon Armstrong.
4. Whitney Leavitt

In simpler terms, Whitney Leavitt, known from “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” is set to appear in the upcoming season. With a lifelong history in dance, as Taylor puts it, she’s been dancing since day one. Beyond her dance background, Whitney is a skilled TikToker professionally, which further enhances her performing abilities. For the competition, she will be teamed up with Mark Ballas.
5. Baron Davis

After retiring from the NBA, Baron Davis has been involved with a podcast named Business Inside the Game and various business endeavors. He lacks formal dancing background, but shows great enthusiasm in learning. His professional dance companion will be Britt Stewart.
6. Corey Feldman

I’m thrilled to share that Corey Feldman, a renowned figure from my childhood, is making a comeback in the limelight! Known for iconic roles in films such as “Stand By Me,” “The Goonies,” and “The Lost Boys” during the 1980s, he has faced a series of personal hurdles, including abuse, emancipation at 15, and battles with substance abuse. Yet, he’s persevered and is now stepping back into the spotlight through reality TV. His dance partner for this new journey is Jenna Johnson, though I must admit, I’m curious about his dancing abilities!
7. Dylan Efron

Dylan Efron, winner of Traitors season 3 and younger brother to Zac Efron, made headlines this year as a star in reality TV. Besides that, he’s recognized for his role as a travel influencer and YouTuber. Interestingly, Dylan doesn’t have formal dance training, but his athleticism from outdoor sports could potentially aid him in mastering lifts and choreography. On the show, he will be partnered with professional dancer Daniella Karagach.
8. Alix Earle

Among the initial cast members revealed for season 34, Alix Earle is recognized as a popular TikTok personality. She’s also an entrepreneur and the presenter of the Hot Mess podcast. A devoted enthusiast of Dancing With the Stars, she expressed her enthusiasm on Good Morning America, stating, “I appreciate a great performance! I’m absolutely captivated.” Alix has a history in competitive dance from high school and will be teamed up with Valentin Chmerkovskiy.
9. Hilaria Baldwin

On Instagram, Hilaria Baldwin, Alec Baldwin’s wife, suggested her involvement in season 34 by posting various dance videos. Known for being a member of the Baldwin family and recognized for her unique Spanish accent, Hilaria brings her experience as a yoga instructor and current status as a fitness influencer to the table. In this upcoming season, she will be teaming up with professional dancer Gleb Savchenko.
10. Jen Affleck

During the reunion for Season 2 of “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” Nick Viall announced that Jen Affleck, a non-professional dancer who has only danced in viral TikTok challenges, will be competing. Her dance partner will be professional dancer Jan Ravnik.
11. Scott Hoying

On the show, it’s Scott Hoying from Pentatonix who will be participating. Although Pentatonix are well-known for their a cappella singing, they aren’t particularly recognized for their dancing skills. Scott humorously admitted that their performances often consist of only occasional “step-touch” movements. For this event, he will be paired up with professional dancer Rylee Arnold.
12. Danielle Fishel

Danielle Fishel, famous for playing Topanga on Boy Meets World, isn’t particularly skilled in dance. Additionally, she has a well-known friendship with Lance Bass of NSYNC. In this upcoming competition, Danielle will be teamed up with professional dancer Pasha Pashkov.
13. Elaine Hendrix

Actress Elaine Hendrix, famous for portraying Meredith Blake in The Parent Trap, is stepping back into the spotlight once more. This is actually her second stint in Hollywood following her appearance in Freaky Friday alongside Lindsay Lohan. With a dance background dating back to the 1990s, Elaine is now teaming up with professional dancer Alan Bersten for their upcoming project.
14. Jordan Chiles

Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles is temporarily stepping away from Team USA to participate in Dancing with the Stars. Like fellow Olympians Simone Biles, Suni Lee, and Stephen Nedoroscik before her, she’s poised to showcase her athletic talents on a new stage. Anticipation runs high as she prepares to dance alongside professional partner Ezra Sosa.
