Under the guidance of director Nia DaCosta and scriptwriter Alex Garland, the film titled “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple” broadens the realm established by Danny Boyle and Garland, offering a fresh twist. In this installment, Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) navigates a perilous romantic entanglement with repercussions reaching beyond mere survival. On the other hand, Spike (Alfie Williams) braces for a harrowing confrontation with Jimmy Crystal (Jack O’Connell).
The infected continue to pose a danger, yet the movie switches its emphasis to portray the harshness among survivors, revealing that sometimes, human savagery can prove even more chilling than the virus itself.
