As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that whispers in the cinematic world suggest that “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” will grace our digital screens on September 27. For those who prefer the big screen experience, mark your calendars for October 28, as the Blu-ray and 4K versions are slated to make their grand entrance then!
In about three weeks, we’ll finally have the home release, as the cinema screening seems to be winding down gradually.
It seems likely that the Disney+ premiere of “Thunderbolts” or even earlier could be around Nov. 19. This is based on the fact that “Thunderbolts” was released 117 days after its initial debut, and “Captain America: Brave New World” followed approximately 103 days later on the same platform.

Box Office Update
As of Tuesday, The Fantastic Four: First Steps has grossed:
- Domestic (52.6%): $258,739,851
 - International (47.4%): $233,164,435
 - Worldwide: $491,904,286

In simpler terms, the movie’s performance in daily screenings appears to be stronger than that of Thunderbolts, which had a box office total of approximately $7 million after 33 days and concluded its run. Given this, we might anticipate that the Fantastic Four film, having reached its 33rd day, could also generate similar earnings.
Even with its advantage, the film has struggled to perform well internationally. Considering this weak foreign box office, the global earnings should barely exceed $500 million.

Another MCU Underperformer
Disney’s upcoming Marvel Studios film, with an initial estimated budget of $200 million (which may increase further due to reshoots), could potentially join the list of their releases that just about manage to cover their production costs.
The expectation was that the release of Fantastic Four would generate a great deal of excitement for Avengers: Doomsday. However, quite the contrary appears to have happened, with anticipation instead dwindling.
Though digital and Blu-ray sales might soften the blow of financial loss, it’s important to acknowledge that Kevin Feige’s newest Marvel Cinematic Universe film has once more failed to impress audiences in movie theaters.
