Wakanda Forever” left a significant impression despite only appearing in one Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film. His role evolved from being Wakanda’s greatest adversary to potentially becoming an ally. Namor is also known as one of the first confirmed mutants in Earth-616 comics. After a long break, he’s set to rejoin the franchise in “Avengers: Doomsday”. The news about his casting was brief, and it’s intriguing to know what his involvement will be like in this upcoming MCU team-up. Huerta recently gave fans a sneak peek of Namor’s future encounters with Victor von Doom.
Recently, Huerta made an appearance on the late-night TV Azteca show titled “La Resolana Con El Capi.” (According to reports from Deadline.) During his visit, he discussed his potential return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe following his 2022 debut. However, he hadn’t received official confirmation about his comeback at that point. Marvel only notified his agents that he would appear in “Avengers: Doomsday” a mere five and a half hours before they began announcing the cast during a lengthy live stream of empty chairs. “They informed us around midnight, and by 5:30 AM, the livestream started, and they said, ‘The news is about to be announced.’
Huerta found it surprising and exciting, but filming this movie was a completely distinct “experience” compared to his role as the main antagonist in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”. As he explained, the story involves numerous characters numbering around twenty or so. Consequently, each actor will have reduced roles because there needs to be room for every character and their individual universes to unfold.
In simpler terms, Huerta explains that his part in the movie required less time and effort compared to others. However, it’s unclear whether he ever filmed scenes with 20 other actors simultaneously, or if there were that many significant characters in the movie named “Doomsday.
As a die-hard Marvel fan, I’ve got to admit, it feels like being on the set of an intriguing mystery! It seems that even our favorite actors weren’t privy to whether they were starring in “Doomsday” or not – they were kept guessing just like us fans. But hey, we’re used to waiting for Marvel to dish out the answers, and it looks like we’ll be doing that for a while longer!
