Insta360 Unveils Tiny ‘GO Ultra’ Camera

It seems that Insta360 is experiencing a series of successes. Just last week, they introduced their first drone, and now they’re making another exciting declaration about a device that’s quite compact – even smaller than one might expect!

The Insta360 GO Ultra, a minuscule yet potent gadget comparable in size to a smartwatch, is the latest innovation from the brand, considered as an advancement in the realm of compact cameras. This lightweight device tips the scales at 53 grams. Inside this diminutive package, you’ll find a sensor that’s been expanded by 221% compared to its predecessor, measuring 1/1.28-inch. This larger sensor enables it to capture stunningly clear 4K footage at 60 frames per second. The camera also sports a 14.27mm equivalent lens with a maximum aperture of F2.85.

As per Max Richter, Insta360’s co-founder, the GO Ultra incorporates enhancements from their widely acclaimed Ace and X camera series. It boasts a highly compact design that allows for creative possibilities without compromising on portability.

The updated GO Ultra sports a cutting-edge 5nm AI chip, as per Insta360, which promises exceptional image quality that was allegedly unattainable with the previous GO series. Combined with a larger sensor, this advanced processor ensures incredibly smooth and ultra-sharp 4K video at 60fps. Moreover, it empowers users to leverage AI features integrated into the device, such as PureVideo – a unique technology designed to minimize visual noise and boost brightness in dimly lit settings.

The GO Ultra comes equipped with a versatile magnetic base that accommodates various attachments and offers flexible mounting possibilities. Moreover, this compact device boasts an extended battery life, providing up to 200 minutes of recording at 1080p or 170 minutes at 4K. It also offers both voice and motion controls, making it effortless to operate like a conventional camera; with just one tap, you can instantly capture any moment.

The GO Ultra sports a flexible, 2.5-inch touchscreen that rotates upward for convenient usage. This screen is not only expansive and vivid, capable of showing its extensive 156° view clearly even on sunny days, but it’s also rated IPX8, ensuring it can withstand being submerged in water up to a depth of 33 feet (or 10 meters).
