The reason being, Zoe Kravitz, who brought Selina Kyle and Catwoman to life in the previous installment, won’t be reprising her role in this follow-up film.

Given this scenario, it seems plausible that Robert Pattinson’s portrayal of Bruce Wayne/Batman may introduce a potential new romantic interest.

Mr. Freeze leaks

The moniker Mr. Freeze, which has been bandied about as a possibility for the sequel, is something that Reeves himself has hinted at in the past.

In one of her videos, it appears that Grace Randolph suggests that Mr. Freeze may be the villain in the film titled The Batman: Part II.

In a manner reminiscent of Robin, if that’s the comparison we’re making, you can anticipate a more sober and earnest portrayal of Mr. Freeze rather than the comical version depicted by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

What we know about The Batman: Part II

It’s been reported that ‘The Batman II (2027)’ is set to start filming in the spring, along with other productions currently in development.

Apart from Robert Pattinson, the cast returning also includes Andy Serkis portraying Alfred, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, and Colin Farrell stepping into the role of The Penguin.

It seems that Reeves could require a different cinematographer, as it appears Greig Fraser is set to be occupied with the upcoming Beatles movie. This also implies that Fraser won’t be involved in Dune 3.

IMDb credits James Gunn as an executive producer. Gunn himself has mentioned that the DCU Batman won’t be appearing in the same year as Reeves’ Batman, which is understandable. Despite being told it won’t happen, I still think Gunn might want Robert Pattinson for the DCU. If a decision needs to be made, Zaslav will likely make it, similar to how he chose Gunn’s DCU over continuing with the DCEU.

Starting from August 7, “The Batman: Part II” has been announced to be in the early stages of production. This aligns with Matt Reeves submitting the script for the film, which was penned by Mattson Tomlin.
