Liev Schreiber Voices Sam Fisher

The show features Liev Schreiber (known for “The Perfect Couple”) as the iconic undercover agent Sam Fisher. This fresh interpretation of “Splinter Cell” propels the series into the realm of hybrid warfare, delivering a more crisp and contemporary perspective on espionage.

What Is Splinter Cell About?

As a fervent admirer, I’d say that in the world of Splinter Cell, I step into the shoes of Sam Fisher – a covert operative who serves the clandestine American government unit called the Fourth Echelon.

In the opening scene, a pair of goggles descend beneath the water’s surface, while a coffin labeled “Dear Father” for a man named Douglas Shetland is featured above. Accompanying this image, Fisher narrates, “It’s Douglas Shetland.

After acclimating to the darkness, it becomes clear who the unscrupulous individuals truly are. They will always be caught off guard by your approach.

The series was developed by Ubisoft Film & Television in cooperation with animation studios Sun Creature and Fost.)

  • Directors: Guillaume Dousse and Félicien Colmet-Daage
  • Head Writer: Derek Kolstad (John Wick)

Based on the Ubisoft Game Series

Splinter Cell: Deathwatch” takes the popular stealth-action game series developed by Ubisoft, first introduced in 2002, and continues its storyline. As the franchise grew, it extended to tie-in novels during the mid-2000s, which helped establish Fisher as a well-known character within Tom Clancy’s extensive universe of characters.

In a fresh presentation, the animated adaptation of Fisher’s shadow war is set to breathe life into the narrative, with Netflix being the exclusive platform for streaming this captivating series.

Release

The preview for “Splinter Cell: Deathwatch” will be unveiled during Anime NYC this coming Thursday, and the series will exclusively stream on Netflix.
