Mortal Kombat 2 Image Teases Scorpion vs. Noob Saibot Fight

Warner Brothers unveiled a fresh image from the upcoming film “Mortal Kombat II,” building anticipation for the long-awaited duel between two of the series’ most famous personalities: Scorpion and Noob Saibot.

In this fiery backdrop resembling hell, an image portrays Hanzo Hasashi (Hiroyuki Sanada) engaged in combat with the resuscitated wraith, Noob Saibot (Joe Taslim), who emerged from the ashes of Sub-Zero. These two formidable ninjas seem entangled in a fierce skirmish; Scorpion’s kunai is tense, while Noob stands ready to counterattack, cloaked in full shadow armor.

First Time in Mortal Kombat History

For the very first time in both gameplay and storyline, Scorpion and Noob Saibot will square off against each other in Mortal Kombat II, a historic event given their extensive backgrounds within the series.

In the initial Mortal Kombat film, Scorpion and Cole Young managed to defeat Sub-Zero (Bi-Han). However, they left him fatally engulfed in a fiery inferno of hell. Now, Bi-Han resurfaces, reborn under a new identity – Noob Saibot.

Noob Saibot’s Resurrection

In the Mortal Kombat video game series, Bi-Han meets his end at the hands of Scorpion and is later revived by Quan Chi as Noob Saibot – a spectral being loyal to the Netherrealm. It appears that the sequel plans to reintroduce Bi-Han through dark magic, transforming him into one of Shao Kahn’s minions.

In the upcoming scene, it’s expected to be among the most memorable moments in the film, hinted at initially in the trailer (see below). This sequence is set to offer a satisfying resolution and a delight for fans with a brutal “Finish him!” sequence.
