In the latest Fortnite season, a fresh Battle Pass and an array of stylish new skins are introduced. Unlike last season’s strong superhero theme, this season showcases a more diverse range of skins due to the ongoing war against bugs, making for a broader selection than usual. Surprisingly, two franchises that you might not have associated together are represented in three different crossover skins this season.
Fortnite’s new season unveils a fresh Battle Pass and an exciting set of cool skins. Last season was defined by its powerful superhero theme, but this time around we see a more scattered approach. With the bug war in full swing, there isn’t a clear thematic connection between this season’s skins. As a result, we have an impressive variety at hand, including crossover skins from two unexpected franchises that usually don’t mix.
Last version:
In Fortnite’s new season, players can look forward to a fresh Battle Pass and a wide assortment of trendy skins. The previous season boasted a solid superhero theme, but this time we’re seeing a more relaxed thematic structure. With the ongoing bug war, there isn’t much thematically tying the skins together for this season. This results in a broader selection than usual, including three crossover skins from two franchises that typically don’t mingle.
UNSC Spartan
As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that another Spartan, besides Master Chief, has made its way into Fortnite’s Battle Pass! While the appearance of this newcomer is straightforward and true to form, there’s a unique twist – you can acquire this skin without purchasing the Battle Pass itself. All you need to do is reach Level 100 this season, and voila! The skin will be yours, regardless of whether you’ve invested in the Battle Pass or not. Exciting times ahead for us Spartans!
Yoo-mi
This statue, armed with a mace, blends her performance attire with her combat gear for a stylish appearance. The handle of her mace functions as a microphone, while her headset mic is now connected to a visor that likely provides her with vital information as she advances into conflict.
Agent Patch
As an agent for O.X.R., this Panda-like character stands out in the fight against pests. His appearance is quite stylish, despite some aspects causing curiosity. The black patch on his fur resembling an eyepatch is rather coincidental, and it’s fortunate that the injured eye was not the other one – it would have been awkward if it were. Additionally, he carries a bamboo stick as his primary weapon, which appears unusual for a Panda – it’s similar to me carrying a long Twix into battle.
Battle Gamer Mae
D.VA has a lot to answer for.
This character sports a common yet attractive gamer-girl design, featuring vibrant purple hair and a radiant pink gaming controller in her hands. Despite the typical appearance, she demonstrates proficiency with technology, as she’s equipped with metallic arms attached to her shoulders, assisting her with heavy tasks. While a game controller might not be the ideal tool for those mechanical limbs, it’s hard to dispute her expertise.
Lt. Ripp Slade
With a name reminiscent of a 90s sci-fi thriller, Ripp Slade shows no tolerance for shenanigans as he battles the bugs. His mask and face-shield conceal his features entirely, and he mercilessly wields his primary weapon – an extendable blade from his arm.
Onyx Winter
In a name reminiscent of ’90s spy series, Onyx Winter serves as the commander of O.X.R., ready to spearhead resistance against the impending invasion. Given her lack of visible weapons, it’s evident she is skilled in close-quarter combat. Although an unconventional approach when facing colossal alien insects, I wouldn’t jump to conclusions too quickly.
Green Ranger
If you’re searching for professionals who specialize in combating bizarre creatures donning oversized mascot costumes, look no further than the Power Rangers. The Red, Blue, Yellow, Pink, and Black Rangers are all accessible in the merchandise store. However, the Green Ranger (with the White Ranger as an alternative style) can be obtained through the Battle Pass. This isn’t the only Power Rangers-related content in this pass, though.
Dino Megazord
For the upcoming season, the Dino Megazord, a colossal robot formed by all the Power Rangers, will be revealed as an unlockable skin starting September 16th. However, please note that this new skin won’t cause you to grow in size during matches, but it certainly adds a cool factor when paired with other Ranger sets.
