Supporters of the god simulation game similar to Black & White have been eagerly anticipating it for quite some time: “Fata Deum” is set to debut in Early Access for the PC on Steam on September 15, 2025.
42 Bits Entertainment’s developer team has been working on their strategy game, Fata Deum, for six long years, but now they are approaching the final stages of development. Like many games in its genre, Fata Deum allows players to not only construct cities and manage economies, but also create and mold an entire religious system.
The way you act, whether kind or unkind, significantly influences people’s perceptions. Regardless of the type of deity you aspire to be, always be mindful of your rivals since other gods are also vying for the loyalty of your followers. Every action brings a consequence, and timing is crucial too: Daytime is for performing miracles and building structures, while nighttime is for plotting and making strategic moves.
42 Bits Entertainment’s adventure began on Kickstarter with 1,451 incredible supporters who trusted in our vision and propelled us forward to create an extraordinary project. Since then, that backing has evolved into a community of over 200,000 individuals eagerly awaiting our game on Steam – something we never dared dream of back in 2021. Christoph Schulze of 42 Bits Entertainment shared these thoughts: “Fata Deum means more than just a game to us; it’s our homage to the god games that shaped our childhood, and an opportunity to rejuvenate a genre we adore. We eagerly anticipate inviting players to explore the universe we’ve crafted, hoping they’ll find joy in creating breathtaking worlds… or perhaps destroying them!
