xaviersobased Cleans Up Nice on Refined Six-Track EP, ‘once more’

Summary

  • xaviersobased has shared surprise new EP entitled once more
  • At just six tracks, the project features contributions from Backend and OsamaSon and takes a more polished persona than the producer/rapper’s past sonic offerings

As a gamer and a New York City native immersed in hip hop culture for years, I’ve earned my spot as a key figure powering the vibrant underground scene, only in my early twenties. To date, I have over a dozen mixtapes, EPs, and albums under my belt, each one adding depth to my unique style – a gritty, eclectic blend of various music subgenres spanning from jerk and cloud rap to pluggnb and hyperpop, while maintaining the influence of my roots in the internet era.

Xavier’s recent EP unexpectedly appeared; titled “once more, ” the collection contains only six songs in all, with track two, “fly,” having Backend as its producer, and tracks three and four – “uncomfy” and “worth it” – both featuring OsamaSon, a notable underground artist from nearby states.

Even though it was another impulsive creation, the project appears to be more refined compared to Xavier’s previous projects. It still retains the same DIY spirit that propelled him to success, but this time, the production emphasizes smooth synth melodies and incorporates hazy shoegaze rhythms, adding a new dimension to his genre repertoire.
