The passion for seeing him back in these action-packed worlds remains unshaken among us fans.
Regardless of whether he’s portraying the next Wolverine, Live Action Captain Britain, or the new Batman in the DC Universe, Cavill consistently ranks among the most beloved actors in comic book movies by fans.
Cavill Back as Wolverine?
Henry Cavill caused a stir when he appeared in the role of Wolverine-like character in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’. This unexpected guest appearance left many fans taken aback, as Cavill is the first actor to portray Wolverine since Hugh Jackman 25 years ago. James Gunn Says He’s Open to Recasting Cavill in the DCU
In a recent chat on “Happy Sad Confused,” I found myself addressing a question posed by Josh Horowitz regarding the potential confusion of casting Henry Cavill as another DC character. Here’s how I put it:
“Well, you know, it’s all about storytelling and making sure our audience can follow along seamlessly. If we can craft a compelling narrative that makes sense for both the character and the universe, then I don’t think there would be any issue.
Indeed, I did discuss the matter with him on that particular day. To clarify, my response is a firm no, but I am open to the idea of involving Henry in something else.

Henry Cavill as the DCU Batman?
The quote ignited a surge of conjecture, particularly among DC enthusiasts eager for Cavill’s reprisal in DC, and some even proposed Henry as a potential choice for Batman in The Brave and the Bold.
In the forthcoming DC Universe film, it’s rumored that Batman will be training Damian, and Henry Cavill seems perfectly suited for the role, embodying the likeness of Bruce Wayne.
Marvel or DC?
Cavill may no longer wear the red cape, but he’s still orbiting both comic book universes.
On the Marvel front, he’s taken on the role of a Wolverine variant, and trustworthy reports hint at potential discussions for a future collaboration with the studio. The details are yet to emerge about whether this means a permanent role as Wolverine, Captain Britain, or some other character entirely.
Regarding DC, Gunn indicates the opportunity is there. Cavill, in turn, possesses the fanbase, the right build, and an established legacy. If Gunn seeks a seasoned actor to anchor The Brave and the Bold, Cavill seems like a perfect fit.
