Capcom has officially revealed Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, the latest installment in its spin-off series of turn-based RPGs. The unveiling trailer presents a grand storyline set within the fragmented realms of Azuria and Vermeil, where an enigmatic egg births twin Rathalos – legendary beasts connected to a centuries-long conflict. Players assume the role of Azuria’s royal heir and the only Rathalos Rider, entrusted with probing into a crystalline disease and geological oddities known as “egg quartz,” all while managing escalating tensions between the two nations.
Alongside the main character, we meet Eleanor – the princess of Vermeil. In an attempt to avoid war, she chooses to act as a diplomatic captive. Accompanied by her Monstie friend, Anjanath, they embark on a quest north of Meridian, seeking answers and facing age-old dangers. Their journey uncovers the mysterious past of Eleanor’s sister, the queen of Vermeil. The game offers strategic turn-based battles, fresh Monsties to train and mount, all set in a vibrant world with visuals similar to that of Breath of the Wild.
The third installment of Monster Hunter Stories, titled “Twisted Reflection,” is planned to be launched in the year 2026 on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and personal computers through Steam.
