Nintendo Direct announced for this week – When and where to watch

There’s been a persistent buzz suggesting a Nintendo Direct is imminent, and it seems those rumors were accurate this time. Nintendo officially confirmed a Partner Showcase Direct for July 31, 2025.

Instead of the typical Nintendo Direct presentations, Partner Showcase streams primarily highlight third-party games coming out for Nintendo Switch and possibly Switch 2 within the upcoming year or so. So, if you were anticipating a new Animal Crossing or Zelda reveal, you’ll need to be patient; however, there are still some intriguing developments on the horizon.

It’s likely that the second edition of Elden Ring for Nintendo Switch will announce its release date, and since FromSoftware is involved, they might share some details about their upcoming exclusive IP, The Duskbloods. Additionally, Professor Layton may return with a new game release date, and we can hope for updates on Hollow Knight Silksong as well.
