The initial trailer for Marvel’s “Wakanda’s Eyes” has been unveiled by Marvel Animation, with the show set to premiere ahead of schedule.
Initially planned for a late August debut, the four-episode animated series will instead make its premiere on Disney+ on August 1st.
First Look at Eyes of Wakanda
The visual spectacle known as “Eyes of Wakanda” is the work of director and co-producer Todd Harris (famous for “John Wick” and “Black Panther”), along with Marvel’s Ryan Coogler, who also serves as an executive producer. Joining them in this role are Kevin Feige, Brad Winderbaum, Louis D’Esposito, and Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt.
The action-adventure series chronicles the journeys of the elite Wakandan warriors, the Hatut Zaraze, across various epochs worldwide. Their objective is to recover Vibranium artifacts that have been stolen by enemies of Wakanda in each episode, which unfolds in a unique time and location.

Jona Xiao Is the New Iron Fist
As anticipated, the show includes a female character wielding the Iron Fist power. It’s been verified by Jona Xiao that she will portray Iron Fist in the series. Although specifics are scarce, this marks a significant milestone as it is the first time a female character has officially assumed the Iron Fist role within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, whether in live-action or animated adaptations. Interestingly, even the comics have undergone changes to introduce a female Iron Fist.
Full Voice Cast and Production Team
The lineup features actors like Cress Williams, Winnie Harlow, Patricia Belcher, Larry Herron, Adam Gold, Lynn Whitfield, Jacques Colimon, Jona Xiao, Isaac Robinson-Smith, Gary Anthony Williams, Zeke Alton, Steve Toussaint, and Anika Noni Rose.
I’m proud to be part of a team that collaborates closely with Proximity Media, specifically with Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian, and Kalia King, on the production of this series.
Streaming Exclusively on Disney+
The visual spectacle known as the “Eyes of Wakanda” makes its debut on August 1, only on Disney+, where you can stream all four episodes simultaneously.
