You can find the original movie “Happy Gilmore” streaming now. After almost three decades, Adam Sandler has come back with a follow-up to his 1996 sports comedy titled “Happy Gilmore 2“.
During the actor’s comeback to the sequel of the series following a 30-year break, Cameron Boyce, one of his previous cast members, was also part of the production.
One notable moment in the movie pays respect to the deceased Disney actor, who portrayed Sandler’s son in both the movies ‘Grown Ups’ and ‘Grown Ups 2’.
Happy Gilmore’s heartfelt tribute to Cameron Boyce
In one scene from the Netflix movie, Adam Sandler’s character, Happy Gilmore, can be spotted making his way towards the check-in counter while carrying his equipment.
As I step into the booth, my eyes immediately fall on the CTR screen. Just then, out of the corner of my eye, I catch a glimpse of Boyce – a poignant cameo that’s almost too fleeting to notice but serves as a touching homage to the late star.
In the movie, there’s a clever reference (easter egg) to the TV show Jessie, where the actor who played Luke Ross from 2011 to 2015 appeared.
What is Happy Gilmore about?
In the freshly debuted movie, viewers find Adam Sandler reprising his famous character – a golfer – who, after thirty years, is grappling with both professional and personal challenges as he attempts a career resurgence.
In simpler terms, the movie’s summary states that Gilmore resumes playing golf professionally following his retirement and victory at the Tour Championship, so he can afford his daughter’s ballet lessons.
In this film, you’ll find stars like Alix Earle, Bad Bunny, Travis Kelce, and professional golfer John Daly, along with several others.
Happy Gilmore 2 is available to stream on Netflix.
