The blockbuster movie “Jurassic World: Rebirth” has amassed an impressive sum of over $718 million globally as of July 27, 2025. This figure includes a substantial $301.5 million earned in North America and a staggering $416.8 million from international box offices.
Despite some unfavorable reviews, the film enjoyed a robust debut and has been consistently raking in earnings at the worldwide box office.
Initially, initial projections suggested my much-anticipated film might rake in a modest $100-$125 million within its first five days in North America. However, certain industry insiders were more bullish about its prospects, estimating potential earnings of around $115-$135 million. As a passionate cinephile, I’m eagerly waiting to see which prediction comes closer!
With the film’s release date approaching, predictions have risen once more. According to Deadline, the movie could potentially earn around $260 million worldwide, with roughly $130 million coming from North America alone.
The initial projection continued to increase. On its debut day, the movie earned approximately $30.5 million. A day later, it brought in an additional $25.3 million, causing further increases in the prediction. By the Fourth of July, the film generated a staggering $26.3 million on a single day.
Subsequently, on July 5th, it reached a total of $35.6 million. Eventually, over its first five days, the movie amassed an impressive sum of $147.8 million, with $92 million earned solely during the three-day weekend. In the same span, it garnered a global revenue of $322.6 million.
Over the course of its second weekend, the pace picked up somewhat for “Jurassic World: Rebirth,” earning $40.3 million, a decrease of 56% from its opening weekend. Despite this decline, it managed to retain its grip on the market, albeit no longer holding the top spot at the box office, now occupied by “Superman.” However, it continues to perform well.
The audience responses were satisfactory, but didn’t quite reach stellar levels. CinemaScore assigned it a “B,” which is respectable, yet not overly praiseworthy. On Metacritic, the movie earned a score of 50 out of 100 from 54 critics’ reviews, indicating mixed or average reception.
This implies that the feedback received was a mix of positive and negative. On Rotten Tomatoes, it has a 51% positive rating based on 361 critic reviews. In summary, the critics’ consensus is that “Jurassic World Rebirth” returns to fundamental aspects, offering thrilling action sequences and well-worn tropes. However, it doesn’t advance the dinosaur franchise but does revive some of its classic features.
Rebirth,” and it’s evident that this film has been one of the most successful movies released so far this year.
