The iconic duo Beavis and Butt-Head will return to television screens in 2025, continuing to be as silly and amusing as they’ve always been. Comedy Central has announced that the third season of their rebooted series will premiere on September 3, 2025, bringing more laughter our way!
This isn’t merely the third installment of the revived series; it marks the eleventh season in the entire bizarre chronicle of the show. Initially, the first two seasons following the revival were available on Paramount+, but by June 2024, Paramount opted to transfer the series from their platform to Comedy Central instead.
Alongside announcing the release date, Paramount has also unveiled a trailer for the new season. In this sneak peek, the two well-known goofballs receive a shoutout from Metallica in what appears to be a surreal scene. Later, events take a turn reminiscent of Beavis and Butt-Head when they attempt to calculate the band’s purchase price, leading them to hurl a gold bar at James Hetfield’s head.
Previously, the series took a break and concluded in 1997 following seven seasons on MTV. It later resurfaced for an eighth season in 2011. Additionally, there have been two films – “Beavis & Butt-Head Do America” released in 1996, and more recently “Beavis & Butt-Head Do the Universe” in 2022, available on Paramount+. Lastly, let’s not forget “Daria,” a spinoff featuring the show’s most intelligent character, which ran for five seasons on MTV as well.
In the series, it’s Mike Judge who lends his voice to both Beavis and Butt-Head, as well as several other characters. He also holds an executive producer role for the new season, along with Lew Morton, Michael Rotenberg, and a team of animators from Titmouse – that’s Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Ben Kalina, and Antonio Canobbio.
Apart from this, Mike Judge is also resurrecting another beloved creation – “King of the Hill”. This iconic animated series that he co-created with Greg Daniels will make its comeback on August 4th, exclusively on Hulu, with a fresh 10-episode season.
If you’ve been yearning for the goofy humor of Beavis and Butt-Head, fear not! These two are set to return, and just like old times, they remain as unchanged as ever.
