Hotta Studio shared a post-mortem for the latest Neverness to Everness beta test, where they announced that another beta round is on the horizon and disclosed their intentions for fresh content and functionalities within this phase. Furthermore, they delved into specifics about modifications and tweaks the game will undergo as a result of player feedback.
In the upcoming update of NTE, you’ll find an increased focus on everyday scenarios involving game characters, along with improvements to the housing system that allows you to invite characters as roommates and unlock unique interactions between them. Additionally, all characters will have outfits available for customization. The new features include a personal music player and tougher battle sequences, as well as additional story chapters.
In the last beta version, players had the option to switch to first-person view while driving vehicles. However, Hotta aims to expand this feature and allow players to explore the game world in first-person perspective even when they’re on foot. Additionally, players will have the opportunity to work as taxi drivers or couriers, with their shops serving as teleportation spots for faster travel across a broader area – a change that seems necessary based on our feedback from the NTE beta testing.
Regarding enhancements before the release, Hotta’s main focus will be perfecting combat mechanics and driving control. The summoning of vehicles will be made more fluid, and ranged characters will have the ability to counterattack effectively, improving their role within combat sequences. Additionally, user onboarding is an area that will receive attention, with improvements in tutorial design as well as clearer explanations and presentations of skills.
Suitable for the size of the game, the task list is quite extensive. Luckily for Hotta, it mainly focuses on a handful of key mechanisms within the game, which means many elements are already on point from the perspective of potential gamers.
