LEGO Reveals Batman Arkham Asylum Set

Due to recent comics and notably the video game series, Arkham Asylum has risen to become one of the most renowned and sought-after locations in Batman’s universe, trailing only behind the Batcave itself. This spooky, Gothic mansion transformed into an institution for the criminally insane offers ample setting for numerous tales. Additionally, it serves as an excellent large building set for LEGO. As revealed on Wednesday evening, the LEGO Group has introduced a new addition to their DC Batman collection: LEGO DC Batman Arkham Asylum. This creation will serve both as a display model and a “one-of-a-kind 24-day Advent calendar.” Quite fascinating!

This set comprises a total of 2,953 parts, dividing into three main sections: the first level, second level, and roof. Additionally, it features removable components for interior access. Each room or compartment includes an operable door, while the set also comes with an “inmate delivery van” (let’s say transport vehicle), 65 Batman-related stickers, and 16 minifigures. For LEGO enthusiasts, the main attraction of these sets is undoubtedly the minifigures. The Arkham Asylum set includes 16 characters, such as Batman, Batwoman, Robin, Mr. Freeze, The Riddler, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, Bane, The Joker, The Penguin, Killer Croc, and 2 security guards. If you prefer, one of the guards can be imagined as Aaron Cash.

Take a look at the set in the gallery below.

I’m thrilled about how LEGO allows gradual assembly of this set, similar to an Advent calendar. This approach truly simplifies the process and makes it more manageable. Each day, it presents a delightful task to anticipate and conquer!
