In an Instagram post, French director Sébastien Vaniček (of the movie “Infested”) announced the beginning of filming in New Zealand by sharing a clapperboard with the caption “Day 1 – From 93 to NZ.” The hashtag #EvilDeadBurn was included, revealing the title of the upcoming project.

Despite the plot specifics being kept secret, it’s anticipated that Evil Dead Burn will maintain the franchise’s trademark blend of spine-tingling supernatural fear and gory violence. This movie follows the 2023 release of Evil Dead Rise, which grossed a whopping $147 million worldwide, fueling excitement among fans for the series once more.
Creative Team and Production Details
Vaniček’s harrowing encounter with claustrophobic terror in “Infested” might add a fresh dimension to the franchise. Once again, Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, and Bruce Campbell will serve as producers, although Campbell won’t be appearing on screen as Ash anymore.
