In a blink of an eye since our last release, we’re already gearing up for the P5X v1.2 update! This new version brings fresh narrative elements and one of the most anticipated characters from the P5X lineup. As the worldwide version strives to match its Chinese counterpart, expect a steady stream of updates. To keep you in the loop about all the exciting additions to the game with this update, we’ve prepared these patch notes for your convenience.

New limited-time banner – Fox/Yusuke Kitagawa

As a die-hard fan, I’m thrilled to share that one of the original Persona 5 crew is making a temporary comeback in this update! Fox, a formidable Ice-type Sweeper unit, has taken center stage on a limited-time banner from now till August 21. This gives us fans plenty of time to secure him for our team, much like Joker’s extended stay. Fox is all about dishing out massive damage to multiple enemies simultaneously, making him an invaluable asset in combat!

Crossroads of Fate Chapter 2 begins

In this update, we won’t have a primary storyline, but instead, we’ll kick off the next chapter of the Crossroads of Fate saga. This installment brings together characters from P5X and the original P5 as they penetrate Palaces modeled after those from the original game. As you might anticipate, this chapter will primarily focus on Madarame’s Museum and feature Yusuke prominently, who is joining the cast in this update. The narrative will be presented in multiple parts, with new segments rolling out every week leading up to the v1.3 update, where we’ll see the second half of the story unfold.

Sinners of Vanity and Gluttony boss challenge

For this update, a fresh temporary battle system will be introduced, allowing you to confront Palace leaders at different challenge tiers, earning various prizes such as exchange tokens and enhancement items in return. It’s been confirmed that one of these bosses will be Madarame from the conclusion of the Crossroads of Fate storyline, while the identity of the second is yet to be revealed.

Relativity’s Labyrinth challenge mode

Additionally, for a time-bound experience, Realitivities Labyrinth is being incorporated. In this mode, you’ll journey through a complex labyrinth within the Metaverse, where speed in finding the exit and collecting hidden coins will earn you rewards.

Joker and Fox special outfits

Starting with this update, two unique character costumes will become accessible to all players worldwide, offering a distinct edge over the Chinese version of the game. In the Chinese version, these costumes were offered as limited-time gachas, but in the global version, they can be permanently obtained using Meta Jewels. Initially, Joker and Fox are the characters who will receive these outfits, with additional characters set to follow in future updates.

Expanded Synergy Bonds

In the latest update, P5X’s Synergy Bonds are growing even more. Although no new characters are introduced for bonding this time around, Shun Kano’s narrative is being extended. Additionally, once you’ve advanced your bond sufficiently, you’ll be able to go on dates with the select romantic characters within P5X.

10 free Platinum Contracts and Milicoins

Lately, there’s been quite a stir about P5X, especially among global gamers who feel they haven’t received fair treatment compared to Chinese players in terms of bonuses. In an attempt to address these concerns and foster unity, this update brings enhancements such as more gems post-updates. To sweeten the deal even further, all players will receive 10 free Platinum Contracts and Milicoins directly in their in-game mailboxes once the update goes live.

Although it’s not overly generous and there are certainly some kinks left to work out, it’s a pleasant surprise for now.
