2K Games and Gearbox Software have revealed that Borderlands 4 will hit shelves on October 3, 2025, for the Nintendo Switch 2. Remarkably, this release date is just a short while after the game’s initial launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, which is scheduled for September 12, 2025.
The release date for Borderlands 4 on other platforms has been moved up because of a swift development process, and it appears that the development for the Switch 2 version is progressing smoothly as well.
Once more, players will assume the role of Vault Hunters, hunting for increasingly superior loot. However, they’ll find it crucial given the impending catastrophe on planet Kairos. Additionally, the Timekeeper, a tyrannical ruler, is in dire need of being defeated.
As a gamer, I can jump into this game solo or team up with friends, whether it’s a party of one, two, three, or even four! If we happen to be playing together on the same device, we can enjoy a splitscreen mode designed specifically for us two.
Already, Randy Pitchford has unveiled details about the open-world map and collectibles in Borderlands 4. This means that gamers now have a clearer picture of the game’s size and landscape.
