On Sunday, it was sadly confirmed that Jamal Warner had passed away due to drowning in Costa Rica. It is believed that asphyxia may have been the reason for the actor’s demise, according to the authorities.

The recently departed actor posted a video on Instagram in his last message, with the caption: “Our global home requires us to act with love. Our overall well-being hinges on it. In three days… it’s ‘Be Love Day’, he wrote. “#Become #Believe #BeLove” translates to “Let’s transform, trust and express love.
Additionally, addressing his 70,000 followers on social media, Warner expressed, “What’s next? It will be practical, motivating, and tactical – offering both virtual and real-life experiences. This will be an interactive journey and tribute to the power of LOVE in every aspect of our lives, particularly as we work together to build the #BelovedCommunity.
Two days before his passing, the actor shared a podcast episode on social media, featuring himself and others. In the accompanying post, Jamal Warner wrote, “On this week’s Not All Hood, Malcolm and Candace (Kelley) chat with iconic figure Tameka ‘Georgia Me’ Harper about her experiences as a Black individual, her wisdom on Atlanta gentrification, cultural preservation, and self-love without apologies.
