The lengthy absence resembles the time frame between Season 1 and Season 2, approximately 2.5 years. Since Season 2 debuted in 2025, it’s likely that Season 3 won’t be released until late 2027.

Craig Mazin is currently pondering over the possibility of concluding the story in a single extended season or dividing it into two separate ones. According to Bloys, “Craig is still figuring out whether there will be two additional seasons or one long final season. The decision hasn’t been made yet, and I’m letting Craig guide us on this matter.

The ambiguity stirs up worries about where the plot is headed, given the significant shifts happening in the characters and the management team.
