New ‘Nobody 2’ Trailer Drops: Bob Odenkirk Returns for More Action

Fans of Bob Odenkirk can’t wait! The studio has unveiled a fresh trailer for “Nobody 2,” the thrilling sequel to the unexpected hit from last year. Additionally, they announced that tickets are now available for purchase. The movie will be in theaters on August 15, 2025.

In the fresh storyline unfolding, I find myself once again appreciating Bob Odenkirk’s return as Hutch Mansell – a seemingly ordinary father with an extraordinary side. Some enthusiastic viewers affectionately refer to him as “the John Wick-esque character that your dad admires.

In the sequel, set four years later, Hutch is still burdened with a $30 million debt to the Russian mafia, which he’s been repaying through constant hit assignments. However, even the most relentless killers require some downtime occasionally.

After making his comeback, it’s evident that Hutch could really use some time off! Get your tickets now for #Nobody2, available on Fandango to secure your seats and enjoy the excitement!

As I, reminiscing about the cherished past, find myself once more in the company of Hutch, now accompanied by his beloved wife Becca, portrayed by Connie Nielsen, it appears their marital bond is facing some turbulence. In an attempt to rekindle their connection and create new memories, they embark on a family voyage to Wild Bill’s Majestic Midway and Waterpark – a venue steeped in Hutch’s childhood nostalgia. However, the tranquility we yearn for remains elusive as the story unfolds further.

As a dedicated cinema enthusiast, let me share my take on the plot: Following a run-in with some rowdy neighborhood tough guys, I, along with my family, find ourselves in the crosshairs of a dishonest amusement park tycoon and a questionable sheriff. Before long, I’m squaring off against one of the most eccentric crimelords I’ve ever encountered.

The film is being helmed by debutant English director Timo Tjahjanto. The screenplay is a collaborative effort between Umair Aleem, Aaron Rabin, and Bob Odenkirk, with the latter himself contributing to it. Derek Kolstad, who originated the story for the initial movie, was also involved in its development.

In the return of this production, Connie Nielsen and Christopher Lloyd reprise their roles as Becca and David Mansell. RZA makes another appearance as Harry, Hutch’s brother. The familiar faces of Michael Ironside, Colin Salmon, Billy MacLellan, Gage Munroe, and Paisley Cadorath will also be seen once more. To add some fresh perspectives, Colin Hanks, John Ortiz, and Sharon Stone join the cast, with Stone portraying a character linked to an illegal liquor business.

The spark for a follow-up film originated in 2021. In various interviews, Connie Nielsen expressed her interest in delving deeper into Hutch and Becca’s past history. She mentioned, “We even discussed how they initially crossed paths during the production of the first film.” Later that same year, Derek Kolstad initiated work on the sequel screenplay. By 2022, 87North Productions announced their intentions for a second film, and David Leitch stated the studio was supportive. Ultimately, in December 2022, producer Kelly McCormick confirmed that the sequel had officially progressed to the next phase.

Filming commenced on August 6, 2024, in Winnipeg and concluded by the end of September the same year. Actors Sharon Stone, Colin Hanks, and John Ortiz were added to the cast during this period. Director Tjahjanto hinted on social media that RZA might return for additional scenes.

Now that the trailer is out and tickets are available for purchase, fans won’t have to wait much longer before they can catch “Nobody 2” in theaters nationwide, which is set to premiere on August 15, 2025.
