In the captivating world of Masashi Kishimoto’s anime series, both Naruto and its successor Boruto, a rich tapestry of characters in diverse forms has been woven. Although the narrative remains the heart of these shows, it’s the extraordinary characters that demand their fair share of limelight. This is the inspiration behind this article, as we’re delighted to present you with a summary of the 55 most beloved female characters from Naruto and Boruto, arranged in order of their widespread popularity. So sit back and enjoy the ride!
55. Izumi Uchiha
In the hidden leaf village of Konohagakure, Izumi Uchiha was a female ninja and close friend of Itachi Uchiha, whom she harbored affection for. Tragically, during the massacre of the Uchiha clan, Izumi lost her life in Itachi’s arms. In a heartbreaking twist, she was responsible for the deaths of both herself and her mother before her demise. Just prior to passing away, Izumi briefly glimpsed into a future created by Itachi’s Tsukuyomi illusion – one where she stood as Itachi’s partner and the mother of their shared children.
54. Mebuki Haruno
Mebuki Haruno hails from Konohagakure and is recognized as a skilled kunoichi. She is the loving spouse of Kizashi Haruno and proud mother of Sakura Haruno. In addition, Mebuki serves within the Allied Mother Force. Throughout the series, she demonstrates her compassionate nature, constantly looking after her daughter’s wellbeing in various situations.
Instead of her spouse who often appears jovial, she’s noticeably more somber, resulting in a playful banter that persists between them. At times, Mebuki muses that he seems to treat everything with a casual air.
53. Ameyuri Ringo
In the anime, Ameyuri consistently demonstrates an astute and calculating demeanor, often outmaneuvering her adversaries while taking pleasure in her own abilities. She is known for never letting her quarry escape, systematically eliminating all opponents and relentlessly pursuing those who survive. She appears to have a fondness for those who can hold their ground against her and offer a challenge, which she affectionately refers to as “her meals.
In a unique turn of events, Ameyuri developed an unusual fondness for Omoi, who opted to engage in combat with her, while her allies chose to retreat. Interestingly, both were evenly matched in strength during this skirmish. As she had mentioned that Omoi was her type, it wasn’t surprising when the battle ensued. Following their confrontation, Ameyuri displayed no signs of anger or resentment towards her defeat, instead accepting it calmly. Similarly, Ameyuri herself was portrayed as benevolent, gifting Omoi her sword post-battle. Moreover, she expressed a desire to meet Omoi again in the realm beyond life.
52. Mabui

Mabui served as the Fourth Raikage’s dedicated aide, hailing from the village hidden in the clouds, Kumogakure. She appeared as a composed woman, swiftly and meticulously carrying out any duties delegated to her.
She was a practical individual who wasn’t shy about expressing her doubts when an idea appeared irrational, regardless of its source, whether it be the Kage or otherwise. Similarly, much like Darui, it seemed challenging for her to become angry, especially towards the Raikage, as his habit of passing through windows and walls rather than using doors didn’t seem to faze her.
51. Ameno

Ameno shows kindness and politeness in her actions, such as healing Sakura Haruno selflessly without knowing her, and maintaining composure by disapproving of people going into the desert at night. Her commitment to her profession is strong, as shown when she refused payment from a Suna team even though she was tired, demonstrating unwavering loyalty. In battle, Ameno is aggressive yet focuses on minimizing harm to enemies, prioritizing her role as a medical-nin.
50. Guren

Guren exhibited an enigmatic nature, often choosing to conceal her character. Yet, her unwavering devotion to Orochimaru was evident. Upon first encounter, she swiftly demonstrated a merciless and cruel demeanor. Her countenance brightened when Kabuto announced that prisoners would engage in mortal combat, indicating her enthusiasm for a bloodbath.
It’s evident that she values her appearance highly, as demonstrated by her frequent use of the Jade Crystal Mirror to admire herself and exclaim, “Stunning, as ever.” Additionally, her actions suggest a strong sense of self-importance, as when Naruto offered to accompany her, she felt embarrassed, likely fearing it might undermine her dignity.
49. Hinoko

Hinoko possesses a masculine demeanor, similar to many members of ANBU, and typically maintains a composed, reserved, and sober disposition. Yet beneath this facade lies a playful side, as evidenced when someone uses her real name; she becomes enraged and vows to eliminate the offender, considering her name immature due to its childish connotations.
Regardless of her fondness for non-feminine items and dislike for traditionally girly things, Hinoko often gets carried away in romantic situations, like when she showed excitement over Shikamaru Nara’s advances towards Temari. Moreover, she has a habit of ending each sentence with “you know”.
48. Fū

In the animated series, it appears that Fu often seems to cause trouble ever since Shibuki summoned her. Shibuki initially expected a reprimand due to some action of hers, but what stood out was Fu’s tendency to get restless quickly, yet she becomes enthusiastic when engaging in something new or unfamiliar.
Fū shares similarities with Naruto Uzumaki in her excessive chatter and impulsive behavior, but she stands out among Jinchūriki due to her friendly demeanor and eagerness to forge friendships. During the Chūnin Exams, instead of focusing on competition, Fū sought camaraderie and enjoyed herself. Demonstrating great courage, Ella Fū, in pursuit of fun, even ventured into a nighttime sandstorm blindly, finding such an adventure thrilling.
47. Ruka

As a cinephile puts it, I’m a ninja from Kirigakure, belonging to a team under the command of Monga in the Third Division of the Shinobi Alliance. I, a steadfast woman, am prepared to lay down my life for the safety of others – a promise I made clear to Monga.
Conversely, she expresses disdain towards utilizing individuals as bargaining chips in the pursuit of peace, finding it unjust the way Pakura was treated. Moreover, she holds great regard for her peers, affectionately addressing Maki as “Maki-Chan.
46. Ayame

At Ichiraku Ramen, the restaurant in Konoha that Naruto frequently visits, it’s Ayame who serves as the waitress. This establishment is run by her father, Teuchi. Unlike many residents of Konoha, both Ayame and her father show kindness, helpfulness, and acceptance towards Naruto. In fact, he is one of their preferred customers. Ayame stands out among her clients for her friendly demeanor, and she shares a special bond with Naruto. It appears that Ayame has developed feelings for Kakashi Hatake, a man whom her father admires as well.
45. Sasame Fūma

As a budding member of the Fūma Clan, I, Sasame Fūma, embody the seriousness of my role as a ninja, though my youth may belie it. I am steadfast in my pursuit of our shared goal, and if necessary, I’ll bend the truth to achieve it. However, beneath this deception lies a heart brimming with kindness, driven by an unwavering desire to protect and preserve my cherished clan. My sense of justice runs deep, and should I perceive that my partner acts unjustly, I will not hesitate to confront them head-on.
44. Matsuri

As a devoted cinephile, I’d like to share my thoughts on a captivating character from the world of Sunagakure – Matsuri, the skilled kunoichi. During the Fourth Shinobi World War, she was an integral member of the Fourth Division, and her reverence for her teacher, Gaara, has been unwavering.
In the early stages of the anime, I noticed a hint of shyness in Matsuri’s demeanor. However, after being mentored by Gaara, she blossomed with newfound confidence. Her transformation was truly inspiring, as it showcased the power of guidance and self-belief.
Following the demise of her parents, she initially harbored fear towards weapons. However, under the guidance of her mentor, she came to understand that weapons serve not only for destruction but also for protection – to shield her friends and dear ones. It seems that her bond with Gaara may have grown beyond a mere teacher-student relationship.
43. Natsuhi

In simpler terms, Natsuhi was an advanced female ninja from the Secret Star Village, married to Hotarubi and mother of Sumaru. As a Genin, she underwent training with the star, but she witnessed many of her fellow trainees struggle during this process. Similar to Neji, she observed how the star’s chakra gradually consumed the chakra of others, ultimately leading to their deaths.
In adulthood, she wed her spouse, Hotarubi, and welcomed a child they named Sumaru. Concerned about the star training that was claiming lives within her community, Natsuhi chose to collaborate with Hotarubi in secret to seize it, aiming to protect others from harm.
42. Isaribi

Isaribi participated in an experiment designed to grant a shinobi the capability to function submerged in water, breathe underwater. Being among the early trial participants, she wasn’t the ultimate prototype. She was then dispatched back to the Marine Country for spying on vessels departing from the harbor.
Because she always wore bandages over the areas transformed during the Kaima process, the villagers became hostile towards her and damaged her possessions. They harbored fear and resentment towards her since she was the only one who had come back from the “Spirit Voyage.
41. Fūka

Fuko was surprisingly formidable in combat, despite not appearing so at first glance. She often flirted with her adversaries, and when executing her Kiss of Death, she would teasingly ask if the victim preferred a gentle or French kiss.
Similar to Ino Yamanaka, she held her physical form in high regard and grew enraged when it sustained harm, particularly her hair. In her second battle against Naruto, there were subtle indications of a masochistic inclination within her, as she seemed intrigued by his agony.
40. Shiho

Shiho is a bright and hopeful young woman who appears to harbor feelings for Shikamaru Nara. Upon learning that she would be heading back to the cryptology office without discovering any new information, she declined Shiho’s invitation to visit her boss’s residence. Instead, she adjusted herself in front of a mirror, planning to encounter Shikamaru again upon her return. Additionally, Shiho’s cheeks turned pink when Shikamaru agreed to accompany her back to Tsunade’s office.
39. Hotaru Tsuchigumo

Hotaru demonstrates a strong sense of determination, evidenced by her undergoing the Kinjutsu procedure on her back in order to preserve her clan’s heritage. She also exhibits a streak of independence by initially turning down assistance from Naruto and his group. Furthermore, she is tenacious, particularly when pursuing her personal objectives, such as when she relentlessly practiced the skills taught by Utakata until she managed to control him.
38. Suiren

Suiren, a female ninja from Kirigakure, sacrificed her life to safeguard Ganryū. In essence, Suiren was a compassionate soul who cherished tranquility. She openly discussed and advocated for the potential benefits that an alliance between Kirigakure and Iwagakure could bring to the shinobi community.
37. Shizuka

In this version, Shizuka is a resident of Nadeshiko Village, serving as its head. Fated by village law to battle against Jiraiya’s apprentice for the purpose of matrimony, her warm-hearted nature was initially evident. However, after the tragic loss of her boyfriend, she grew cold and distant, focusing solely on fulfilling her predestined role. It wasn’t until Naruto bested her that she recognized the necessity of love to cultivate strength.
36. Shizune

Shizune, a highly skilled kunoichi, originates from the village of Konohagakure and holds the rank of Jonin. She’s often seen by Tsunade’s side and received her training in medical jutsu under Tsunade herself. Shizune is also Dan Katou’s niece. She often acts as a voice of reason for Tsunade, trying to shield her from foolish actions, but usually ends up persuaded by Tsunade in the end. Moreover, she primarily looks after Ton-Ton, Tsunade’s pet pig.
After the demise of her uncle Dan, she departed Konohagakure together with Tsunade. Generally speaking, Shizune comes across as kind, amicable, and courteous towards many individuals. However, she tends to fret excessively, much like Tsunade over financial concerns and Naruto’s well-being.
When Tsunade’s mood sours, Shizune tends to become timid and withdrawn. Yet, she knows just how to encourage and empower them in difficult situations. Moreover, Shizune excels at swiftly making decisive and, most importantly, clear choices.
35. Mirai Sarutobi

At the tender age of two, Mirai exhibited a sociable nature, forming close bonds with her parents’ students, particularly Shikamaru, whom she affectionately addressed as “brother.” She often bestowed nicknames upon them and occasionally got her own names muddled in the process. As is common for children her age, she was full of energy and sometimes careless in her interactions, once playfully tugging at Akamaru’s ears.
In her youthful years, Mirai transformed into a cheerful and vivacious woman. Her demeanor and resolve were remarkable as she tackled her tasks, pouring all her energy into her work. Although her commitment was commendable, Naruto and Kakashi observed that she held her responsibilities with grave seriousness. This prompted Naruto to delegate her the task of accompanying Kakashi on his journey, hoping it would provide her an opportunity to unwind.
After discussing it with Kakashi, Mirai grasped his intentions and enjoyed herself during the trip. She thrives on thrilling challenges and perilous missions, imagining that her mission alongside Kakashi and Guy was an S-rank assignment filled with continuous enemy attacks. However, she was disheartened to discover the truth. Furthermore, this incident revealed that she values the opinions of those in authority, worrying initially that the Seventh Hokage might question her capabilities since he was the one who delegated her for such a demanding task.
34. Chiyo

Over time, Chiyo has grown hardened and resentful. She views every choice she’s made throughout her life as a mistake, and harbors self-blame along with blame for her entire generation. Among the missteps she regrets, she includes Sasori’s career path, which she believes was somehow her fault, and the sealing of Shukaku within Gaara, an action that still weighs heavily on her conscience.
Due to her advanced age, she had come to doubt her ability to correct past errors and effect change. However, it was only through the influence of Naruto and Sakura that she found the strength to break free from her lethargy, defeat her grandson, and resurrect Gaara. Filled with bitterness and unrelenting anger, she attempted to kill Kakashi, whom she believed to be her son’s murderer. This was the reason behind her vow for eternal retribution.
Yet, these decades of vengeful reflections serve as a poignant reminder of the profound love she harbored for her family. This affection is further underscored by her selfless act to nurture one of Sasori’s parent dolls, demonstrating her determination to spare him the sorrow of being parentless.
She deeply cares for her village and is determined to protect it at any cost, despite harboring regrets about certain choices made within this context, specifically the sealing of Shukaku. In terms of defense, she holds somewhat traditional viewpoints, being particularly skeptical about the alliance with Konoha, believing it undermines village independence.
33. Ada

As a movie buff, I find Ada to be aloof and indifferent, her demeanor unyielding with a stoic gaze that seldom changes. She seems detached from the world around her, showing little empathy for others, referring to them as mere objects and even reveling in moments of misfortune such as Isshiki’s demise. However, there have been instances where she has demonstrated a soft side, like when she pleaded with Code not to harm Naruto after witnessing Kawaki’s helplessness in protecting him.
She’s meticulous about her personal care and always mindful of her appearance. She prefers to attend to grooming first before responding to Code or engaging in conversation with him. She was hesitant to share her age with him, as it might limit his use of her skills. She views combat as a brutal act.
This version maintains the original’s meaning while using simpler and more natural language that is easier for readers to understand.
32. Delta

Delta seems to exhibit a quick temper, leading to destructive behaviors such as kicking and damaging objects, like the table where Jigen ate or a tree trunk, to release her frustration. Moreover, she has been portrayed as impulsive, disregarding consequences by breaking through the Konoha barrier without concern for being discovered. Lastly, she appears to be highly dedicated to missions, growing impatient when they are delayed.
According to Jigen, it appears that Delta is self-conscious about her weight, suggesting a strong emphasis on her looks. Additionally, she seems to be wary or mistrustful of others, including her classmates like Kashin Koji, to such an extent that she doesn’t hold them in high regard. Furthermore, Delta has shown disdain towards Victor and expressed hostility towards Boro and Code.
31. Kaguya Ōtsutsuki

In simpler terms, Kaguya Otsutsuki was a princess from an unspecified dimension belonging to the Otsutsuki Clan. Upon arriving on Earth, she developed affection for a human man, whom her fellow clan members deemed lesser. With this human, she had two sons named Hamura and Hagoromo. After her husband’s tragic death, Kaguya consumed the fruit from the Sacred Tree, thereby acquiring the chakra power that followed.
Through this action, she successfully brought the entire world under her control. Aware that her lineage might one day seek retribution against her, he fabricated an army of life forms known as the Zestu to shield her from potential dangers. Ironically, these dangers would later prove to be her two sons who aimed to quell her ambition for power and revenge by imprisoning her using the Chibaku Tensei of the Six Paths of Transmigration.
30. Himawari Uzumaki

In the storyline, Himawari Uzumaki is introduced as a child residing in Konohagakure, born to Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuuga, with Boruto Uzumaki serving as her older brother. Just like her sibling, Himawari holds a dual heritage from both the Uzumaki and Hyuuga lineages. Unlike other children in the story, Himawari is not depicted attending the Ninja Academy in the final scenes. Instead, she is portrayed as a sweet and intelligent girl.
She’s both inquisitive and affectionate, as she enquires about Neji’s preference for sunflowers, and clearly cherishes her elder brother Boruto, preferring his presence during their joint visits to the cemetery with their mother. Her demeanor suggests a level of maturity and responsibility beyond her years – assisting her mother at home, and demonstrating comprehension and tolerance when her father is frequently absent, unlike her sibling.
Her caring nature is evident when she softly prods her father to rouse him on the day of his Hokage installation ceremony. Yet, she possesses other facets as well, which reflect her complex personality. If pushed too far, she reveals an imposing, almost terrifying aspect of herself. In such instances, she mirrors her maternal grandmother’s demeanor, even causing her older brother to flee and conceal himself from her.
29. Chōchō Akimichi

Chōchō Akimichi is recognized as Karui and Chōji’s child, making her part of the Akimichi lineage. In the aftermath, she continues her education at the Ninja Academy, where she studies alongside Boruto Uzumaki, Shikadai Nara, Inojin Yamanaka, and Sarada Uchiha. By the time events unfold in Boruto: Naruto the Movie, Chōchō has already earned the title of kunoichi (female ninja).
Similar to her father, Chōchō has a strong affection for food, especially desserts. This fondness often leads her to accept offers, sometimes at the expense of training sessions. Initially, she didn’t mind being referred to as heavy, but her feelings about this changed over a few years.
As she nears graduation from the Ninja Academy, she decides to shed some pounds, yet her father hinders her efforts. Her perspective on her weight is distinct from her father’s, who had strong feelings against the term “overweight” since his youth.
28. Karui

Karui displays a lively and debating nature, perhaps fueled by the fact that her partner Omoi contrasts greatly with her, stirring her up. She’s prone to standing up for anyone she admires or cares about, employing her temper in a way that benefits her advocacy, whether verbally or otherwise.
Consequently, she’s consistently forthright with her opinions, regardless of others’ preferences. She manages to maintain an appropriate demeanor around those in authority, yet her strong-willed nature often emerges. Additionally, she appears to possess a tender, empathetic side.
27. Sumire Kakei

Sumire Kakei, originally from Shigaraki, is a female ninja hailing from Konohagakure. Her hair, an extended shade of purple, is styled in twin pigtails, with two shorter strands on either side of her face that cascade towards her chin and are fringed at the front where they meet in the middle. Sumire’s eyes match the color of her hair. She wears a light-colored sailor dress adorned with a white collar, a purple bow, and a wide dark purple waistband.
Beneath her dress, she dons a long-sleeved black shirt, complemented by black boots and a shuriken pouch on her right thigh. Post-graduation, she switches to a sleeveless black top layered under a light purple one with a broad white collar, accompanied by black shorts and matching shinobi sandals. Her hair is now styled into a thick braid, adorned with a purple headband bearing the Konoha emblem as final touch.
26. Moegi Kazamatsuri

Moegi Kazamatsuri is a lively young ninja from the village Hidden in the Leaves (Konohagakure). She works with Konohamaru Sarutobi and Udon Ise as a team, under the guidance of Ebisu. They often refer to Naruto Uzumaki as “the Boss”. In Naruto Shippuden, she affectionately calls Sakura Haruno “big sister”. Moegi is a cheerful, optimistic ninja who can be timid and childlike, and she’s scared of thunderstorms.
Beyond that, she has taken on a resemblance to another Sakura in Shippuuden: much like Sakura from Naruto, she frequently exhibits a determined aggression towards Konohamaru when he employs the Oiroke no Jutsu. In the face of Pain’s assault on Konohagakure, she demonstrates remarkable courage and determination, rescuing a child even as Pain’s centipede attacks her.
25. Rin Nohara

Rin Nohara, a youthful ninja from Konohagakure, worked alongside Kakashi Hatake and Obito Uchiha under the leadership of Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage. In her tender years, she proved to be an exceptional iryounin and eventually housed the Sanbi within herself as its Jinchuuriki. Rin was known for her warm, considerate, and caring nature, always prioritizing the well-being of her team and the village.
24. Anko Mitarashi

Anko Mitarashi is a Kunoichi from Konohagakure, holding the rank of Special Jonin. Her training was overseen by Orochimaru for many years, and she served as the leader during the Chunin exam’s second phase. Despite usually appearing lighthearted and carefree, there are moments when she displays a cryptic smile that hints at hidden danger.
Anko, in essence, possesses an endearing, laid-back, and spirited demeanor. This is evident in her enthusiasm for unique performances, such as during the Chunin Exam. Yet, she also exhibits a strong-willed, tenacious side that can be intimidating to others.
Her experiences with Orochimaru significantly molded her character. Driven by a desire to eliminate Orochimaru, she discards all precautions and is prepared to lay down her life for this purpose. In the course of missions, she is willing to remain isolated so that her teammates can flee safely, even if it involves putting their lives on the line.
She demonstrated this heroic act when she gave up her life to halt the devastation of Konoha, as the Sage of Six Paths resided within her. Her role within her team was that of a peacekeeper due to the frequent disagreements between Kakashi Hatake and Obito Uchiha. Remarkably intelligent for her age, Rin excelled in medical ninjutsu at an advanced level.
She, too, had an unyielding spirit that resisted the influence of potent Genjutsu. Despite Obito harboring deep emotions for Rin, she did not return these feelings, as she was in love with Kakashi. Following Obito’s apparent demise, she expressed her affection for Kakashi. Nevertheless, she made efforts to aid Obito by nursing his injuries or offering him encouragement on his path toward becoming Hokage.
23. Kin Tsuchi

Among the three ninja from Otogakure participating in the Chunin competition, Kin Tsuchi stands out. In combat, she employs delicate needles and tinkling bells to disorient her adversaries. If she doesn’t strike her opponent with the needles, she manipulates chakra threads to set off bells that inflict damage on the brain and eardrums instead.
A character named Kin, adept at utilizing her skills effectively, sometimes displays excessive confidence, which hinders her from maintaining a comprehensive view during combat, as evident in her battle with Shikamaru.
22. Kurotsuchi

Kurotsuchi is deeply devoted to her village and aims to make it more powerful by undermining others. To this end, she recommends that Oonoki eliminate the final Jinchuuriki from Konohagakure and Kumogakure, thereby weakening them. However, she frequently expresses a lack of regard for the Tsuchikage, often commenting on his advanced age and suggesting he step down from his position as kage.
Yet, this conduct might stem from the fact that the Tsuchikage shares a familial bond with her grandfather. Additionally, her commitment to missions and tasks isn’t always consistent, leading her to choose watching the confrontation between Sasuke Uchiha and the Raikage during Kage meetings, rather than safeguarding Oonoki.
She exudes self-assuredness in assignments and conflicts, yet carries a hint of cockiness, given her deep sense of accomplishment in her skills. Furthermore, she retains a playful, youthful streak, making her extremely joyful whenever granted the chance to soar once more.
21. Naori Uchiha

Naori Uchiha hailed from Konohagakure and was a member of the Uchiha clan. She was known for her calm and thoughtful nature. In combat, she preferred diplomacy over brute force. An instance of this was when she confronted Naka Uchiha; instead of relying on weapons, she chose to demonstrate the dire consequences associated with using Izanagi to make him comprehend its implications.
20. Samui

As a film enthusiast, I find Samui to be the composed one among her peers, seldom speaking yet her presence always echoes maturity. However, should she find herself enraged, she’s not afraid to let loose with a sharp tongue, reprimanding Karui and Omoi for their noise.
As a discerning moviegoer, I find myself intrigued by this character chosen by the enigmatic Raikage himself. She’s not one to be swept off her feet by raw emotion; instead, she meticulously plans her moves. Cold and calculating, yet trustworthy in her chosen role.
19. Yūgao Uzuki

Yūgao Uzuki hails from Konohagakure and serves in their ANBU unit. She had a relationship with Hayate Gekkou. Yūgao is a compassionate, nurturing, and steadfast young woman, deeply committed to her aspirations, gazing at the moon with fervent and unrestrained admiration. Driven by her dreams and objectives, Yūgao is consistently ready to give her all.
18. Pakura

Originating from Sunagakure, Pakura was a female ninja who held the unique ability known as Shakuton, a rare Kekkei Genkai. For some time now, her cause of death has remained a mystery. However, during the Fourth Ninja World War, Kabuto Yakushi revived her using the Edo Tensei: Resurrection of the Dead technique and assigned her to a team that included Zabuza Momochi, Haku, and Gari.
In the heat of the conflict, the attacking squad confronted their own side, and it was Kakashi Hatake’s group that emerged to counter them. Some ninjas instantly identified her, indicating her high profile and recognition.
Following Hayate Gekkou’s tragic demise, Yūgao vows retribution at his memorial stone, even though she is unaware of who was responsible for his death. Given that Baki, the suspected killer, had been manipulated by Orochimaru and Sunagakure formed an alliance with Konohagakure post-conflict, it remains uncertain how Yūgao would respond upon learning the truth in the future.
Nevertheless, she doesn’t just look after herself; she’s deeply concerned about her teammates as well. She’ll do whatever it takes to help them save Killer B. In her battle against the Gold and Silver Brothers, it was found that she frequently uses the word “cool.” Remarkably, she managed to keep this from her, demonstrating an impressive level of self-restraint.
17. Mikoto Uchiha

Mikoto Uchiha, who was married into the Uchiha family, served as both wife and mother to Sasuke and Itachi. She often comforted and supported Sasuke when his father didn’t show him much affection. Sadly, there isn’t a lot of information about her life. However, it is known that she was not just a housewife but also had significant influence in the Uchiha family’s major decisions. Despite being an Uchiha by marriage, Mikoto did not possess the Sharingan, which is a unique ability within the Uchiha clan.
16. Mito Uzumaki

In a nutshell, Mito Uzumaki hailed from the Swirling Realm (Land of the Whirlpool). She served as the initial Jinchūriki for Kurama. Moreover, she was married to Hashirama Senju and was the grandmother of Nawaki and Tsunade. Observations suggest that Mito was a soft-hearted, compassionate, and deeply caring individual towards her dear ones.
In a conversation prior to Kushina Uzumaki becoming the second Jinchūriki of the Nine-Tails, she was advised by someone that the emptiness in her heart could only be filled with love, revealing a resolute spirit of fire inside her.
15. Tayuya

Tayuya hails from the group known as Sound Five, being the lone female member in its ranks. In combat scenarios, she utilizes a flute that allows her to command three massive demons and inflict second-level Genjutsus on enemies marked with a curse. Known for her harsh speech, Tayuya’s comrades frequently find themselves subjected to her criticism, as Jirobo often feels compelled to reprimand her.
She’s a highly intelligent ninja woman, exceptionally skilled in her techniques, which could potentially pose significant danger to her adversaries. Interestingly, her arsenal, as she herself states, comprises only a flute. This tool allows her to manipulate her Doki demons and summon genjutsu. As a result, she carries a strong sense of self-assurance, often bordering on overconfidence. This overconfidence becomes particularly apparent in her encounters, such as the one with Shikamaru Nara, whom she perceives as being beneath her level.
14. Yugito Nii

Yugito Nii is the second most powerful Ninja Woman in Kumogakure, also recognized as a Jinchuuriki. At only two years of age, she assumed the role of Jinchuuriki, and her spirit beast was Nibi until it was forcibly removed by Akatsuki. Once she reached an appropriate age, she endured harsh training to learn how to manage her spirit beast.
At the conclusion of her training, she gained the ability to metamorphose into a cat through sheer determination. Yugito perished when her matatabi was taken away. Prior to her demise, she engaged in combat with two members of Akatsuki, Hidan and Kakuzu. Despite unleashing the full potential of Matatabi, she couldn’t manage to overcome her adversaries.
13. Tenten

In the village of Konohagakure, Tenten serves as a Kunoichi holding the rank of Chunin. She’s one of the team members under Maito Gai, alongside Rock Lee and Neji Hyuuga, making Team 9 unique in this regard. Her expertise lies in ranged combat, often summoning various weapons during battles to engage her opponents from a distance.
In her group, Tenten often serves as the voice of rationality, stepping in to calm situations involving Lee and Gai, or resolving disagreements among her fellow team members. Her bond with Neji was intriguing.
12. Kurenai Yūhi
Kurenai Sarutobi, originally named Yūhi, hails from the Hidden Leaf Village (Konohagakure) and serves as the mentor for Team 8. This team consists of Hinata Hyūga, Shino Aburame, and Kiba Inuzuka. In battle, she predominantly employs Genjutsu techniques, demonstrating exceptional proficiency in their use. She is romantically involved with Asuma Sarutobi and has a child together. Tragically, Asuma passes away, leaving Kurenai to raise their child on her own. Her pregnancy during the events of Part II limits her screen time significantly.
11. Konan

Konan hails from the hidden village Amegakure and is a unique member of Akatsuki, being the sole female in the group. She possesses an extraordinary skill, transforming into numerous sheets of paper that can take the shape of butterflies for reconnaissance purposes. However, this power disappears when she comes into contact with water. To Amegakure’s residents, Konan is more than just a resident – they view her as their guardian angel.
Konan, a woman who exudes tranquility and gravity, has earned the trust of only a select few thus far. In gatherings with the Akatsuki crew, she rarely speaks. Yet, her devotion and kindness towards others is unwavering. She’d go so far as to lay down her life for certain individuals, such as when Hanzou Nagato threatened Yahiko’s life.
It was clear that Konan intended to give up his life in order to protect Yahiko. From a tender age, Konan displayed maturity and wisdom as a young girl. Yet, the harrowing experiences of losing her parents and witnessing war firsthand hardened her, causing her to be cautious and seldom trust others. Following their act of kindness by providing food for Konan and her companions, Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Orochimaru, she expressed her gratitude with a delicate token – an origami flower skillfully fashioned from paper.
10. Mei Terumī
Mei Terumī was once the top leader, or Mizukage, of Kirigakure. Uniquely, she naturally possesses two special abilities known as Kekkei Genkai. Mei is a powerful and courteous individual. As Mizukage, she shows great concern for her village, which has come to be known as the “Village Hidden in the Bloody Mist,” a name earned due to her predecessor’s strict rule.
In their encounters, Kage is the one who allows Gaara to express himself, demonstrating her respect for both elders and juniors. The villagers hold significant importance in her life; she cares for Chōjūrō as a mother would care for her child. Yet, she can be quite volatile and stern, sometimes making mistakes. For instance, she misinterpreted some of Ao’s words and responded by threatening him with potential harm.
She’s not particularly skilled in matters related to men, engagements, or age, and she tends to react aggressively to subtle suggestions that she often misinterprets. However, she shows romantic interest in Sasuke, wanting to kiss him before eliminating him.
She’s not great with guys, relationships, or age-related stuff, and she overreacts to hints that are sometimes too subtle for her to grasp. But when it comes to Sasuke, she’s flirting with him, even wanting a kiss before taking him out.
She can’t handle guys and love stuff, plus age-related things make her mad at the slightest hint. But when it comes to Sasuke, she’s trying to flirt, even wanting a smooch before taking him down.
Her understanding of men, relationships, and age is limited, and she gets upset over small suggestions that she usually misconstrues. Yet, she’s showing affection for Sasuke, wishing to kiss him before killing him.
9. Karin

As a passionate cinephile, I’d rephrase it like this: I’m a ninja woman hailing from the hidden village of Otogakure, once overseeing Orochimaru’s southern stronghold that functioned more like a prison. After the demise of Orochimaru, I chose to ally with Sasuke’s team, Hebi, in pursuit of his brother Itachi Uchiha. My feelings for Sasuke run deep, and I’d go to great lengths for him, abandoning Orochimaru’s lair in the process, all for the sake of standing by my chosen ally.
She masterfully utilizes the Concealed Technique of Kagura Insight, a heightened form of Perception Ability, which allows her to camouflage her own energy signature. This makes her exceptionally proficient at detecting and following foes undetected.
Following an attempt on her life by Sasuke during their battle against Danzou Shimura, Karin departs from Team Taka and is subsequently imprisoned in Konohagakure. As a member of the Uzumaki family, Karin’s character is shaped by two contrasting forces: on one hand, her logical, discerning approach towards evaluating adversaries or novel circumstances, along with assessing their chakra and her feelings for Sasuke; on the other hand, she displays a very immature and impulsive behavior when it comes to Sasuke, often acting without due thought.
Typically, she leans heavily on her analytical side, frequently offering direct critiques that can be off-putting to others, giving the impression of haughtiness, a trait that Suigetsu Hoozuki often criticizes and occasionally leads to minor disputes, with Suigetsu instigating these conflicts yet seldom acknowledging the gravity of his liquid form.
8. Ino Yamanaka

Ino Yamanaka is a rank-Chunin female ninja originating from Konohagakure. She belongs to the Yamanaka clan, and her father is Inoichi Yamanaka, their respected leader. Additionally, she’s part of Team 10 led by Asuma Sarutobi, with Shikamaru Nara and Chouji Akimichi as her teammates.
Among her circle, she’s known for being preoccupied with appearances and shallow, often finding herself at odds with Sakura Haruno, a rival she competes against across various aspects of life. Her unique skill lies within the Yamanaka clan’s Hiden, enabling her to execute mind control techniques. Beyond this, she is a ninja specializing in medicine, having been trained by Tsunade following Shizune and Sakura, making Ino the third student under Tsunade in the medical field.
7. Hanabi Hyūga

Hanabi Hyuuga, who’s five years younger than Hinata, is Hiashi Hyuuga’s second daughter and Hinata’s sister. By the age of seven, Hanabi had surpassed her sister in skill. She carries the Hyuuga lineage with greater assurance than Hinata, which may be why their father favors her. He personally trains her every day to prepare her for eventually leading the Hyuuga clan as its heir.
Hanabi exhibits a gentle and composed demeanor. She follows her father’s commands without question, demonstrating a submissive nature. However, compared to her sister, Hanabi displays greater self-assuredness for her age and is confident in her abilities. Additionally, she shows signs of curiosity, frequently asking her father directly about her thoughts.
Growing up, she was intelligent and often enjoyed playing alongside her elder sister. This relationship filled her with a sense of both pride and admiration. Hanabi aspired to emulate Hinata in many ways – graceful yet robust. Furthermore, she never felt content with what she had already learned, which is why she constantly sought out new techniques to master. Her focus was unwavering.
6. Kushina Uzumaki

Kushina Uzumaki hails from the Whirlpool kingdom and is best known as Naruto’s mother. Her character and ninjutsu abilities were widely recognized. Kushina, due to her exceptionally powerful chakra, served as the second Jinchuuriki of the Kyuubi. As a young girl, Kushina had a quick temper, often resorting to physical altercations with classmates who made fun of her red hair.
As she grew older, these characteristics remained constant with her. She was known for being lively, noisy, and playful. These very traits were inherited by Naruto. Despite this, she was a jovial and loquacious individual who held immense affection towards her husband and eventually, her son too. Her devotion to her family was unwavering, and she would not think twice before giving up her life for them. Kushina often concluded many of her sentences with “datteba…”
Her traits remained consistent as she aged. She was boisterous, loud, and mischievous. These characteristics were passed down to Naruto. Regardless, she had a sunny disposition and spoke frequently, showing deep love for her husband and later, her son. Her dedication to her family was unyielding, even to the point of laying down her life for them. Kushina would often end her sentences with “datteba…
5. Temari

Originating from the world of Naruto, Temari—formerly known as Temari Nara—is recognized as the offspring of the Fourth Kazekage. Accompanying her brothers Gaara and Kankurō in this family line, she is a valued member of Baki’s team. Her expertise lies in masterfully controlling wind using an oversized fan, showcasing her impressive skills with this unique weapon.
Apart from measuring distance with her adversary using a fan, she demonstrates strategic prowess similar to Shikamaru’s. She served in the Fourth Division during the Fourth Shinobi World War and is now a member of the Nara family, being married to Shikamaru Nara and mothering Shikadai Nara. Currently, she resides within Konoha.
4. Sarada Uchiha

Sarada Uchiha is recognized as the child born to Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno, making her part of the esteemed Uchiha lineage. Her birthplace was one of Orochimaru’s secret lairs, with Karin assisting during the delivery since Sakura accompanied Sasuke on his travels for a time. This unique circumstance led to Sarada not having an official birth certificate, which has sparked questions and confusion at times.
In the concluding segment, we find her attending the ninja school. Yet, in the storyline of Boruto: Naruto the Motion Picture, she’s already a ninja. Unlike her teammate Boruto, Sarada admires Naruto and aspires to be Hokage someday. Sarada possesses significant traits passed down from her parents: she is discerning and disapproving of Boruto Uzumaki’s actions, but she also tends to be reserved and quiet.
She shares the same catchphrase as her mother, “Shannaro!”, and acknowledges that she and Boruto bear a resemblance due to their shared history with their fathers. Over time, she’s developed doubts about her parents’ relationship because she’s never met her father, and her mother hasn’t provided many details about him. This has left her feeling quite upset.
As a fond observer, it appears that Sarada places great importance on tender expressions from parents. She advised Boruto to view the bento box his mother prepared for his father not merely as food, but as a heartfelt gesture from a cherished individual who took the extra effort to prepare such a thoughtful meal.
3. Tsunade

Tsunade, one of the three powerful Sannin alongside Jiraiya and Orochimaru, serves as the Hokage yet doesn’t always set the best example. She has a penchant for gambling, but her luck is often poor, earning her the nickname “the Legendary Loser.” Known for her fiery temperament, Tsunade is also the granddaughter of the first Hokage, Hashirama Senju.
She sports the supposedly cursed necklace, explaining why she does so. Despite her brusque and hot-tempered demeanor that inspires awe or even fear in others, Tsunade possesses an emotional side as well, which she rarely reveals. However, when someone dear to her encounters misfortune, this hidden softness emerges.
Tsunade carries a heavy burden from her past due to the loss of her loved ones. Her younger brother, Nawaki, and her boyfriend, Dan, both perished during the war, causing her to develop an intense fear of blood that lasted for a significant period.
In my own struggle with grief and despair, I found solace in alcohol and tried to escape the pain of loss by indulging in gambling. However, it was Naruto Uzumaki who offered me a glimmer of hope for a brighter tomorrow and ignited within me the ambition to fulfill my dream of becoming Hokage. Through him, I found renewed purpose in life and eventually achieved my goal as Hokage.
2. Sakura Haruno (Uchiha)

Sakura Haruno, who later became known as Sakura Uchiha, is a female ninja (kunoichi) of Jonin rank originating from Konohagakure. She is prominently featured among the three primary characters, alongside Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha. Known for her impulsive nature, she possesses an impressive ability to adapt to those of superior rank. Since the inception of the series, Sakura has harbored feelings for Sasuke, which she expressed when he departed from the village.
When Naruto is being playful, she often delivers a forceful jab to get his attention. Initially, they didn’t have a warm rapport (Naruto wasn’t one of her favorites), but as time passed, their relationship improved significantly, and she found herself recognizing how much Naruto had grown and changed.
Despite her affection for Sasuke being stronger, Sakura maintains a profound connection with Naruto that ranks him among her most significant individuals. Emotional in nature, Sakura frequently considers the well-being of others, which regularly leads to her fretting over her companions.
1. Hinata Hyūga (Uzumaki)

Born into the esteemed Hyūga family, Hinata Uzumaki (formerly known as Hyūga) shares a familial connection with her cousin Neji, yet she belongs to the primary lineage of the Hyūga clan. She has a younger sister named Hanabi Hyūga. Unlike Neji, Hinata’s proficiency in the Byakugan, the unique genetic trait of the Hyūga family, is not as advanced.
Hinata, a ninja hailing from the Leaf Village, finds herself shy due to her discomfort with the admiration her clan bestows upon her and her struggle to meet her father’s high standards. As a member of Team 8, led by Kurenai Yuhi, she works alongside Kiba Inuzuka and Shino Aburame. The frosty treatment and animosity from her father, along with Neji’s resentment, have caused Hinata to doubt herself and find solace in Naruto Uzumaki, whom she deeply admires and is in love with.
