In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter on July 31, 2024, rapper 50 Cent openly expressed his distaste towards music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and his notorious parties. For years, he has deliberately avoided attending Diddy’s events due to personal disagreements, as evident by his statement: “I’ve been keeping my distance from that scene for quite some time.” This comment is part of a broader criticism towards Combs, who is currently embroiled in multiple legal battles.

50 Cent’s remarks emerge during the persistent dispute involving Diddy, encompassing lawsuits accusing sexual misconduct, assault, and human trafficking. The artist known for 21 Questions has been vocal on these matters, also creating a Netflix documentary series aimed at examining these accusations. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, 50 Cent shared his past encounters with Combs.

50 Cent has shared that his discomfort towards Combs originated from a peculiar incident. The rapper recounted an instance when Combs invited him shopping, which he found odd and uncomfortable. “Combs asked me to go shopping with him,” 50 Cent stated, “I thought it was the most unusual thing because such an invitation is typically made to women.” This experience played a role in his choice to keep his distance from Combs.

In the early 2000s, 50 Cent had a professional association with Diddy as a ghostwriter. However, he didn’t consider it a friendship because there wouldn’t be any feelings of letdown if they didn’t communicate. As he put it, “We weren’t friends in the sense that silence between us wouldn’t cause disappointment.” The rapper further explained that he stopped responding to Diddy’s calls and avoided attending his events due to an unusual vibe he sensed.
