5 MCU Projects We Hope to See Revealed at SDCC

As a long-time Marvel fan and avid gamer, I can’t help but feel excited about this year’s San Diego Comic-Con! Last year’s event was a letdown, and it feels great to hear that Marvel Studios is making their grand return to Hall H. The rumors of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ ‘Thunderbolts,’ and ‘Wonder Man’ have me intrigued, but it’s the potential new projects in development that truly grab my attention.

As a devoted gamer and avid fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), I must admit that last year’s Comic-Con in San Diego was quite underwhelming for me. The usual buzz and excitement surrounding MCU movies were noticeably absent, primarily due to the unfortunate SAG-AFTRA strike. Actors and writers, key figures in promoting these cinematic masterpieces, were unable to attend and share their insights with us eager fans. It truly put a damper on the event.

Marvel Studios has officially announced their presence at San Diego Comic-Con this year. The specific lineup for their Hall H panel is undisclosed, but there’s buzz around “Deadpool & Wolverine” taking center stage, considering the movie’s release coincides with that weekend. There are also whispers of sneak peeks for projects like “Thunderbolts,” “Wonder Man,” and updates on “Captain America: Brave New World.”

At San Diego Comic-Con, as per custom, there are presentations of upcoming MCU projects. Despite Disney CEO Bob Iger’s statement about lessening MCU production, whispers continue about hidden projects being developed. Here’s what we can’t wait to learn more about.

1. Scarlet Witch solo movie

As an avid gamer and fan of Scarlet Witch’s intriguing universe, I’m thrilled to share some exciting developments. I can’t wait for the debut of “Agatha All Along,” where we delve deeper into Agatha Harkness’ storyline. And speaking of which, there are rumors swirling about “Vision Quest,” focusing on White Vision. Lastly, keep an eye out for updates on the live-action “Wonder Man” project in the works. These projects promise to add more depth and richness to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but wonder if the current plotlines in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) might be hinting at Scarlet Witch’s comeback. The buzz now is about a possible Wiccan series, which could lay the groundwork for a potential Scarlet Witch film based on the Children’s Crusade saga. This theory gains more credence with Joe Locke announced to join the MCU as Billy Kaplan.

2. Midnight Sons movie

Currently, “Blade” is encountering major hurdles in its production process. At the same time, there are persistent whispers about an upcoming project focusing on Midnight Sons. Previously, it was suggested that Fede Alvarez could helm the movie. Midnight Sons is said to introduce characters not previously seen in “The Avengers.” Reportedly, Doctor Strange will also be absent from this team.

3. Young Avengers movie

Despite no official announcement from the studio about a “Young Avengers” film, recurring whispers are worth considering, considering the unfolding events in “The Marvels” and the ongoing addition of young superheroes to the Marvel Universe.

A public declaration about the project, together with subtle clues regarding the cast, would significantly increase the eagerness and enthusiasm among people for this prospective film.

4. Doctor Strange 3

In the ongoing Multiverse saga, Doctor Strange’s absence is noticeable as various projects progress. There are indications that Wong may step up instead. Scuttlebutt also suggests that Doctor Strange’s next standalone film might not be forthcoming. However, fans continue to harbor optimism that these rumors are unfounded. Given the crucial part Doctor Strange plays in countering any potential Multiversal menace (if the studio hasn’t changed targets from Kang), his presence seems indispensable.

5. World War Hulk

Although this project is the least expected to be unveiled, having been in development for an unprecedented decade, there’s still a glimmer of optimism.

Although it seems doubtful that the movie will be released, considering Ruffalo’s recent remarks, Marvel has been preparing the stage for a World War Hulk plot. The appearance of Red Hulk in “Captain America: Brave New World” opens up possibilities.
