As a huge fan of movies and shows, I’m already marking my calendar! Between January 12th and 18th, 2026, a ton of great stuff is dropping on streaming services. We’re talking a big new movie with all the stars, the return of some of my favorite series, a fascinating documentary about a classic show, and even some fun options for the whole family. I can’t wait!
Here are the four Hollywood OTT releases of this week:
1. The Rip

- Director: Joe Carnahan

In this gripping action thriller, Matt Damon stars as Lieutenant Dane Dumars and Ben Affleck plays Detective Sergeant JD Byrne. When a police raid uncovers a massive hidden sum of money, the two officers are required to count it on-site, meaning they have to spend the night together. What starts as a simple task quickly becomes a challenge to their friendship, as their trust in each other begins to unravel under the strain.
Okay, so word got out about that huge drug bust, and everything just… changed. Suddenly, everyone’s looking at everyone else sideways. It’s like a cloud of paranoia descended on the whole department. I mean, you can feel the suspicion. The other cops, even people I don’t recognize, are all whispering and eyeing each other. It’s terrifying! You start wondering who you can even trust. Loyalty? Forget about it. It’s like one wrong move and everything could fall apart. I’m just… completely obsessed with figuring out what’s really going on, but honestly, it’s making me so anxious!
2. One Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things 5

The popular series is concluding with one last season, bringing an end to a beloved show for fans everywhere. A special documentary will offer a moving, behind-the-scenes look at the making of the final season, capturing the heartfelt experiences of the cast and crew as they wrap up nearly a decade of work. The Duffer Brothers, the show’s creators, have promised a truly ambitious finale to say goodbye to this incredibly popular series.
3. Hijack Season 2

Season 2 of Hijack moves the action from a plane to the tunnels beneath Berlin, creating a more intense and dangerous situation. This time, the story focuses on a plot to seize control of the city’s underground transportation network, increasing the suspense and adding a new layer of unpredictability.
Idris Elba is back as Sam Nelson, facing another dangerous mission. This time, he’s in an unfamiliar country where he doesn’t speak the language and can’t count on his usual support network. Alone and with the stakes high, Sam has to be resourceful and quick-thinking to survive and succeed – it’s his toughest challenge yet.
4. Tell Me Lies Season 3
- Cast: Grace Van Patten and Jackson White
- Directors: Tyne Rafaeli and Ed Lilly
- Genre: Drama
- Where to watch: JioHotstar
- Release date: January 13, 2026
The series follows Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White) as their lives are thrown into turmoil. Along with their friends Bree, Pippa, and Wrigley, the group gets tangled in a complex situation that strains their friendships and challenges what they believe is right and wrong.
Let me tell you, life has a way of unearthing things, doesn’t it? I’ve seen it happen time and time again – especially within close-knit groups. What starts out feeling secure and full of promise can quickly unravel as hidden truths come out and people you thought you knew show their true colors. It’s like watching a slow-motion collapse of trust, and honestly, it’s incredibly painful to witness. These revelations don’t just reveal the past; they completely reshape everyone’s future, often in ways nobody could have predicted. It’s a stark reminder that even the strongest bonds can be fragile, and that deception can lurk beneath the surface.
