20 Adorably Cute My Hero Academia Characters You Need to See!

In this write-up, you’ll find a compilation of the 20 most adorable characters from “My Hero Academia,” listed in descending order of their charm factor, starting from number 20 and moving up to the top spot.

To ensure our roster is as inclusive and well-rounded as can be, we’ve opted to feature a mix of characters – male and female, ranging from youthful to mature, encompassing both heroic figures and their villainous counterparts. Our aim was to compile the most diverse and top-notch collection we could create.

20. Ken Ishiyama

A contemporary Japanese educator, along with our protagonist named Cementoss, possesses a unique ability known as Cement. This power enables him to manipulate and harden concrete or cement-like materials through touch, providing him an impressive edge in city settings.

19. Nejire Hado

This student, in her third year and one of the top three students at the school (often referred to as the “Big 3”), looked after Ochaco and Tsuyu during their internships. She brought them both along with her to Pro Hero Ryukyu, where Nejire serves as her assistant.

Under an alias, she’s known as Nejire-chan. Her special ability, dubbed Wave, converts her vital force into shockwaves that appear golden-yellow, exhibiting a peculiar spiral pattern. This unique formation gives her waves great power, albeit they move comparatively slowly.

18. Kyoka Jiro

A student from Class 1-A, this girl tends to be quite introverted and has a strong affection for rock tunes. At times, she can come off as aloof or even brusque, but around her friends, she displays a warmer and friendlier demeanor.

She frequently teases Kaminari affectionately, but feels embarrassed to disclose or exhibit to others about her passions, particularly those related to music – a passion she shares deeply within her family.

17. Setsuna Tokage

A chatty student with pointed teeth, identified as a 1-B pupil. She is among the four students who gained entry to Yuei through personal recommendation. Her unique ability is known as Lizard Tail Splitter, which enables her to fragment her body into several parts that she can operate independently; however, these detached pieces eventually lose their power after a specific duration, disintegrating and then regenerating.

At the moment you can divide it into fifty parts at the most. Her superheroine name is Lizardy.

16. Yuyu Haya

Yuyu sports a short, cropped hairstyle in a vibrant salmon hue and eyes that are a warm auburn with elongated lower lashes. She adorns multiple ear piercings, each featuring a gray stud. Her attire consists of a slightly messy U.A. school uniform, complete with a twisted collar, a slackened tie, and sleeves casually rolled up.

Yuyu Nejire Hado frequently sports leggings beneath her skirt and adorns her right arm with a pair of pink bracelets. She is also Yuyu’s close friend and fellow student at the U.A. High School.

During her first year at school in the UAE, Yuyu Nejire proposed participating in the Miss Con beauty contest during the school festival. However, Nejire was defeated by Bibimi Kenranzaki for two consecutive years. Since then, Yuyu has been assisting Nejire with pageant preparation every year.

15. Izuku Midoriya

In the manga series “My Hero Academia,” created by Kōhei Horikoshi, the central character goes by two names: Izuku Midoriya, his everyday identity, and Deku, his heroic persona. This underdog from high school is a bit of a nerd and extremely driven. He’s currently in possession of “One For All,” a remarkable power that encompasses six distinct individual abilities (or quirks), allowing him to unleash potent energy blasts. What sets him apart, though, is his unique ability to pass this power on to others.

14. Geten

A somewhat enigmatic figure, hailing from the Liberation Army, though not among its high-ranking officials, is undeniably one of its most influential members. His backstory remains largely obscure. He sports long, luminous hair and carries a countenance with soft, appealing traits. However, he often veils his face using the hood of his parka, revealing only a pair of striking eyes.

His unique ability involves manipulating ice and its temperature. He can lift and use ice as a weapon, or freeze nearby water to create additional ice that he can then control.

13. Soramitsu Tabe

Among the eight of us, I stand out – one of the unique ones. My peculiarity, or Quirk as they call it, is named Food. With this Quirk, I can chomp, masticate, and digest a variety of substances, not just food. This unique ability has its drawbacks though. It’s left me with an insatiable hunger, making me more preoccupied than most with the act of eating.

His unique traits and character often put obstacles in the way of fitting into societal norms. In a battle with Toya, Yu, and Suneater, his persistence was evident, but ultimately, he suffered defeat following a grueling encounter.

12. Reiko Yanagi

A student who earns a grade ‘B’ and is quiet and expressionless often adopts a stance reminiscent of ghosts in popular culture. Her back is slightly arched, her arms are bent with her forearms pointing forward, and her hands hang loosely by her sides.

Her unique ability, named Poltergeist, enables her to manipulate objects nearby without physical contact, provided they don’t exceed the weight of an average human being.

11. Mina Ashido

A student from Class 1-A, known for her vibrant pink hair and unique lilac complexion, was admired as a potential heroine since childhood. She’s generally outgoing, joyful, and full of energy, often sporting a smile that lights up the room. However, she is sensitive emotionally, making her prone to feelings of sadness or unease at times.

Drawing motivation from Eijiro, Mina too started employing her personal acid as a dual-purpose armor – both defense and offense. Originally, she named herself after her idol, the Alien Queen; however, under Midnight’s guidance, she eventually decided to call herself Pinky instead.

In our shared past, Kirishima and I attended the same middle school. Post the fierce confrontation against the Liberation Front, a heart-wrenching incident occurred – our Midnight teacher lay lifeless. Overwhelmed by emotions, Ejiro, Momo, and I wept together. Now, just like everyone else, I’ll strive to help Izuku return to the Academy.

10. Taishiro Toyomitsu

A beloved character among kids, known as Big Blubber, shares a resemblance with a Russian nesting doll. His unique ability, Fat Absorption Quirk, enables him to gain an overweight physique, which can swallow objects and people, as well as absorb the impact of any attack, be it from swords or bullets.

Yet, absorbing the energy from incoming attacks has its pros and cons. On the positive side, it enables him to launch powerful retaliations. However, this ability comes at a price – he uses up his body fat for absorption, leaving his defenses vulnerable over time. Once his reserves are depleted, his true form becomes apparent.

Taishiro leverages his body’s protective fat for dual purposes: immobilizing adversaries through incapacitation and ensuring secure passage for his comrades.

9. Chiyo Shuzenji

The elderly school nurse, often called Recovery Girl, possesses an extraordinary ability to speed up healing in individuals by giving them a kiss. This quick-healing power requires significant energy from the person receiving it, and if the wound is severe, the effort can potentially be fatal.

She is one of the few people who know the All Might secret.

8. Susugu Mitarai

Presently, our hero number eight, famously called Wash, possesses an extraordinary ability. This power enables him to conjure a mighty vortex of water from his head and blow soap bubbles capable of encompassing people or even massive items.

Or more concisely: Hero 8 (Wash) can create powerful water whirlwinds from his head and make soap bubbles big enough for people and large objects.

His attire is similar to that of a washing machine, exposing only his large eyes. He employs Koji and Manga for an internship opportunity.

Susugu is mainly designed for kids, but he approaches his responsibilities with great seriousness. This includes fretting over the method he chose to cleanse the wounds of agitated citizens, even after facing criticism for arriving a bit tardy during the process.

7. Kinoko Komori

A pupil with a grade of B; she sports a bob hairstyle featuring a long bang that partially hides her face, only exposing her mouth. Her peculiarity is named Mushroom, which enables her to expel spores from her body, causing various types of fungi to sprout everywhere, including on people and potentially harmful fungi. However, the mushrooms detach within a few hours and are harmless to those they grew upon.

As a film enthusiast, I’d like to share my take on a character named Shemage, who I encountered during the U.A. Sports Festival. Her bangs often concealed her eyes, giving an impression of reservedness, while her demeanor was noticeably subdued – a clear sign that she’s quite shy.

Yet, she demonstrated compassion towards Fumikage Tokoyami by apologizing for overusing her Quirk on him and advising him to take the appropriate medication to improve himself.

6. Pony Tsunotori

A young woman from the U.S., a petite girl with horns resembling antelope, a curled tail like a wad, and legs reminiscent of a horse with hooves. Her unique ability is called Horn Cannon, which allows her to create and manage multiple duplicates of her horns for both offensive and supportive purposes; currently, she can control up to two sets of these horns.

In my perspective, the film introduces us to a timid protagonist named Pony, who hails from a different cultural background, making her unfamiliar with the Japanese language. Her character is pure and unsuspecting, and unbeknownst to her, she picks up some questionable phrases from Neito Monoma. This is evident when Pony innocently repeats these phrases, which she doesn’t fully understand, towards Class 1-A.

5. Ochaco Uraraka

A vivacious and straightforward girl, much like Midoriya and Bakugo in terms of academic excellence (rated 1-A), she often presents as cheerful. However, beneath this sunny exterior lies a strong determination to achieve greatness as a heroine.

She possesses a unique trait known as Zero Gravity, enabling her to counteract the pull of gravity on any item she touches, and even float free from it by arranging her hands in a specific manner.

As a movie reviewer, I’d say: In the world of My Hero Academia, Uraraka, or Uravity as she’s known, doesn’t rely on brute force for her Quirk. Instead, she cleverly leverages it to outmaneuver opponents by capitalizing on strategic advantages and harnessing the power of gravity. She even transforms floating debris into a barrage of falling projectiles, creating a rain of destruction without relying on raw strength. It’s a unique and captivating performance that sets her apart from others in this action-packed series.

4. Katsuma Shimano

Katsuma, a timid and tranquil young boy, often tags along with his elder sibling Mahoro. While Mahoro is more reserved, Katsuma shares a strong affinity for heroes – evident in his regular display of an Edgeshot badge on the front of his pocket. He frequently expresses his aspiration to be a hero himself.

Regardless of her personal preference, Katsuma is quite susceptible to influence from her sister and classmates in Class 1-A when it comes to finishing their homework.

Or, more colloquially: Even though she might prefer to do things on her own, Katsuma often lets her sister and classmates in Class 1-A convince her to help them with their homework.

While Mahoro did not recognize or admit his error, Katsuma acknowledged his mistake and went a step further by apologizing to Izuku Midoriya for falsely reporting the presence of a villain.

3. Mr. Principal / Nezu

The headmaster of the school bears an uncanny resemblance to a large, intelligent rodent, and he’s one of the rare creatures on Earth known to exhibit a unique trait or ability, often referred to as a “Quirk.

Grants him extraordinary intelligence and human traits like standing erect and speaking, along with this, he is among a handful of characters privy to the secret of All Might’s power.

This individual exhibits a unique blend of quirkiness, politeness, and tenacity as an educator. He openly acknowledges his unconventional traits and often humorously highlights them. As a young man, he was subjected to cruel human experiments, leaving a scar on his right eye that remains visible today.

2. Minoru Mineta

A student from Class 1-A, who was small in height but possessed a sharp intellect, struggled with an excessive preoccupation and fascination towards the female form. This fixation often put him at odds with his peers, leading to awkward and humorous encounters. He was easily frightened and quickly lost confidence during challenging times, traits that he deeply disliked about himself.

A student from Class 1-A, who was short but smart, had an unusual fascination with the female body that made him unpopular among his peers, creating awkward and funny situations. He was easily scared and quickly gave up when faced with difficulties, which he despised about himself.

Mineta has the ability, known as Super Sticky, which allows him to generate sticky spheres from his head. The duration of this stickiness can range from less than an hour to up to a day, depending on his current emotional state. He chose the hero name Grape Juice and, at least to begin with, he aspired to become a hero not just for altruistic reasons, but also to gain popularity among women.

1. Eri

I’m referring to a remarkable young woman, the granddaughter of the late head of the Eight Precepts of Death (Yakuzas), who unwillingly became the centerpiece of Overhaul’s destructive scheme against Quirks. Fortunately, she was saved through the heroic efforts of Deku, Lemillion, and Sir Nighteye.

Her unique ability enables her to rewind only life forms, though the method of activation remains a mystery; it has been observed in action. Following her rescue, she persisted with the torment inflicted by Overhaul and expressed her inability to smile, which saddened Izuku deeply.

(Note: The goal is to maintain the meaning while making the language more natural and easy to read.)
