1923’s first episode, airing in 2024, honored the memory of Cole Brings Plenty, who had tragically passed away at age 27. The actor was missing for several days before his death, and the show began with a touching tribute in the form of a photo of him that was displayed in the Memoriam section.
During the initial season of the show, Plenty took on the character of Pete Plenty Clouds in a pair of episodes. Moreover, this rising talent appeared in not one but two documentaries: Into the Wild Frontier and The Tall Tales of Jim Bridger.
In those days, the actor mysteriously vanished and eventually turned up dead. Earlier reports indicated that he was being sought by the Lawrence Police Department in connection with domestic violence charges. His fellow Yellowstone cast members, Cole Hauser and Mo Brings Plenty, took to social media to look for him.
On April 5, 2024, at around 11:45 a.m., deputies from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office in Kansas were called to the intersection of 200th and Homestead Lane due to an abandoned car. Upon investigation, they found a deceased male in a wooded area separate from the vehicle. This was stated in a release by the office.
The report continued, “Cole Brings Plenty, aged 27, was confirmed as the person who passed away. Authorities including investigators, crime scene personnel, and the medical examiner are currently at the location.
Regarding the upcoming season of 1923, Harrison Ford reprises his character as Jacob Dutton, the family’s patriarch. Alongside him are Brandon Sklenar, known for his role in It Ends With Us, Helen Mirren, and Julia Schlaepfer, with others joining the cast too.
