The anime is being developed by Bibury Animation Studio, with Hikaru Sato, known for “Dropkick on My Devil!”, taking charge of the production. The music for this series is managed by eba. The anime originates from the manga penned by Rikito Nakamura and Yukiko Nozawa, which has been translated into English by Seven Seas Entertainment.
The narrative focuses on Rentaro Aijo, a high school student who was turned down 100 times during his middle school years. In hopes of better fortune, he makes a wish. To his astonishment, the God of Love manifests and informs him that he will encounter 100 individuals whom he’s destined to romance. However, there is a condition: if Rentaro and someone are bound by fate, they must genuinely develop feelings for each other or else face the consequence of death.
As a devoted cinephile, I’d put it this way: In this intriguing series, I find myself immersed in a whirlwind of laughter and love, with a thrilling twist that keeps me on the edge of my seat. My protagonist, Rentaro, juggles his romantic entanglements while dodging the perilous consequences of failed relationships. With a staggering number of 100 girlfriends, it’s no wonder this journey promises to be an exhilarating rollercoaster ride!
Currently playing out is Season 2, and it’s evident that the fresh aesthetics, opening theme, and additional plot points signal an escalation in intensity for Rentaro as his roster of romantic interests expands!
