Manga may surprise many as it’s not a recent invention, contrary to popular belief. Its global recognition soared in the 80s and 90s, boosted by iconic series like “Dragon Ball”. However, the real surge came in the 2000s with the rise of the “Big Three”, solidifying its place. Today, the manga industry stands as one of the most profitable in existence. In acknowledgment of its enduring popularity, here’s a compilation of the top 100 manga series ever created; due to the subjective nature of such works, we will simply list them instead of ranking them.

Despite her youth, she is compelled to assume command over the Organization at an early age.

Those who contracted the disease or were bitten by infected individuals underwent a terrifying transformation into Kabane – undead beings with an insatiable thirst for blood. Eliminating these creatures proved to be incredibly challenging.
In essence, the core of a Kabane is shielded by a unique layer of steel, making common weapons used by warriors (such as swords and steam guns) virtually useless against it. This leaves humans with no choice but to retreat into fortified outposts, similar to fortresses, connected via armored trains known as hayajiro, when engaging the Kabane head-on is not an option.
One day, in this particular setting, a hayajiro laden with Kabane creatures slams into Aragane Station’s gates. A brave mechanic named Ikoma, seizing his moment, decides to confront the intruder. Wounded during combat, he finds himself compelled to contain the spread of the virus within him, which he manages successfully. As a result, Ikoma transforms into a Kabaneri, an extraordinary being that straddles the boundary between Humans and Kabane.
Due to Mumei, another Kabaneri, Ikoma manages to join the group of survivors aboard the Iron Fortress (Koutetsujou), setting off for the strongest city within the nation. This marks the start of a lengthy and treacherous voyage for the inhabitants of Aragane station.
