10 Things I Hate About You Confirms Sequel Trilogy; Everything We Know From Title to Release Plans

Fans of the timeless film “10 Things I Hate About You” can likely look forward to a wave of joy and nostalgia in the future, as it’s said that the trilogy is expected to be released.

Gil Junger, involved in the aforementioned project, discussed it when speaking to People magazine. He revealed that he’s collaborating with Andrew Lazar, the original producer of 100 Things, on a sequel trilogy.

Title variations for the films are as follows: First Movie – “10 Things I Dislike About Dating”; Second Movie – “10 Things I Dislike About Matrimony”; Third Movie – “10 Things I Dislike About Parenting”. These titles give a similar feel while making them easier to understand in natural, conversational English.

He confirmed to the media that “10 Things I Hate About Dating” is “currently being developed as a full-length movie.” Furthermore, he mentioned they are actively working on it at this moment.

In a recent statement, the filmmaker expressed his desire to work with actress Julia Stiles once more, as she played the role of Kat Stratford in the original 1999 project. He believes that her character resonated deeply and powerfully with many young women.

As I delve deeper into the world of our favorite shows, I uncovered an intriguing tidbit from Junger: Larry Miller, the brilliant actor who brought Kat’s father to life, could potentially rejoin the cast in future seasons. At this moment, however, I find myself preoccupied with other aspects of production and haven’t given much thought to casting just yet.

Junger stated, “Should it feel right for [the original cast], and if there’s a possibility for brief appearances or even main roles, I’d be thrilled about that.

For those not familiar, the 1999 film featured Heath Ledger (who tragically passed away in 2008), portraying Patrick Verona, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Cameron James, Larisa Oleynik as Bianca Stratford, and other talented actors.

When inquired about using forthcoming projects to celebrate the deceased actor, Ledger, Junger responded by expressing that it was a “wonderful concept” and he would indeed do so. In his opinion, such an action would be fitting as Ledger truly deserved love and admiration.
