I was born on the seventh of January in the year 1973, in the town of Rustenburg, located in Transvaal, South Africa. Being of Huguenot heritage, I carried a rich history within me. In my teenage years, I was crowned Miss Teen South Africa in the year 1991. Subsequently, I embarked on an acting career and portrayed the character Bienkie Naudé Hartman in the acclaimed South African drama series Egoli: Place of Gold from the years 1992 to 1995.
Esta TerBlanche’s stint on All My Children
Instead of renewing her contract with Egoli, TerBlanche decided to chase her acting dreams in the US starting from 1995. In 1997, she got cast in the American soap opera “All My Children,” where she portrayed Gillian Andrassy. Her character was married to Ryan Lavery, played by Cameron Mathison, and he revived her after an assassin accidentally shot her.
In the year 2001, during the run of the show, Princess Gillian, known for her playful nature, was let go when TerBlanche asked to depart, enabling his return to South Africa.
