As a long-time fan who has witnessed the meteoric rise and seemingly unstoppable success of Sean “Diddy” Combs, it is truly disheartening to see his name associated with such grave allegations. I have always admired his entrepreneurial spirit and resilience in the face of adversity, but these recent events paint a very different picture.
Sean Diddy Combs is now facing a sexual battery case worth USD 10 million after a complaint in Los Angeles was filed by Bryana “Bana” Bongolan. This lawsuit, presented on November 26, narrates how Combs dangled Bongolan from a 17th-floor apartment balcony after assaulting her in 2016.
The apartment was once owned by Diddy’s former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, who, unfortunately, was also a victim of physical abuse at the hands of the mogul, as evidenced by hotel video footage obtained by CNN several months ago. In November 2023, Combs had previously resolved a $30 million lawsuit filed by her.
Diddy acted in a disrespectful and harmful manner towards Bongolan, using threats, physical violence, and bullying. He also suspended her dangerously over a balcony and collided her with outdoor furniture.
The document filed in court, as reported by Deadline, states that Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs allegedly assaulted Ms. Bryana “Bana” Bongolan sexually on approximately September 26, 2016. He is also accused of hanging her over a balcony 17 stories high and violently pushing her into patio furniture on the balcony. His appalling behavior, which included disregarding Ms. Bongolan’s dignity, personal freedom, and sense of security, was beyond reprehensible.
This lawsuit adds to Combs’ growing list of legal woes, which also include a recent East Coast federal sex trafficking indictment against him. He has been denied bail for the third time in the case. The disgraced rapper, 55, is currently detained at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center on the charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and prostitution-related offenses. If convicted, he could face a life sentence. He is set to go to trial in May 2025.
As a diligent follower, I’d like to highlight an important point about the document: it offers insights into the events that unfolded during the incident. To elaborate, being suspended over a balcony was not just a mere act; its primary objective was either to end someone’s life or to instill deep fear, stripping them of their control over their own body and personal safety. Regrettably, it appears that this was precisely what transpired with Ms. Bongolan.
Initially dismissing the claims, Sean “Diddy” Combs found himself embroiled in a legal battle, as a fresh lawsuit was filed seeking $10 million in damages. Yet, Diddy’s lawyers have consistently argued that the accusations lack substance.
